Q: Family Share - need to wait 364 days after 2 attemps

I tried to configure the family share between the iPhone of my wife and my iPhone but after a successful configuration we are not able to see the apps of each other, neither Musics. So I remove the sharing and configure it again. Now I'm stuck with a message saying that an apple account can join or create a family 2 times per year and now I have to wait 364 days. Is there a way to request a reinitialize of this ?

iPhone 5, iOS 8

Where's my documentation? Does Apple suffice to you as documentation? Maybe you should go eat a cookie?

"You can only belong to one Family at a time, and may join any Family no more than twice per year. "

That's after a successful join.  There's a glitch in the system were a join attempt registered as successful in the system, but not on the device.  Therefore, it's not the intended function of the system, and Apple is working to address those situations where it's been reported.  Had you simply left the device alone after your join attempt, it wouldn't have registered a second attempt.  By signing out then trying to sign in again, you created the problem unintentionally.  And it's a new feature, there's bound to be a learning curve, both for users and for Apple.

Apple didn't intend for users to have problems joining.  It's a glitch, and it's being worked upon.

In other words, calm down and let Apple work on it.  Give feedback if you want at the appropriate place: www.apple.com/feedback.

This is in relation to successful joins. No one knew they were going to get locked out for a year while messing around with it. There is zero warning about it. Please stop recommending the feedback section. They do not have ios8 or family share on their feedback section yet. So, maybe if there was a section to leave feedback about feedback we could tell them to update their feedback form before going live with a new ios.

Seems like a bug to me.  I understand that Apple and the developers do not want people jumping from family to family depending on what app/music/movie they wish to access at any given time.  To that end, they enacted a two family per year limit.  But that's not the issue here.  Most people got locked out simply trying to join/re-join ONE family. For example, my wife got locked out for the year simply trying to join my "Family."  When it didn't work the first time (thanks to other IOS 8 software glitches -- a whole other story) we deleted her and reinvited her.  Now she has to wait a year simply because she tried to join ONE family multiple times.  Don't think Apple intended to prevent that.  So in my humble opinion, this is a bug.

I was on the phone with Apple today -- they are aware of the problem and are working on it.
