Landscape Home screen for iphone 6

Please verify that zoom is turned off. You then should be able to use landscape in Home screen.

I agree with Brian, I feel slightly cheated. Why would, what seems like intuitive features not be added to both device. I believe the iphone 6 is large enough in size to accommodate the plus feature. Also bertikus I'm not sure where ur getting your sources but my iPhone 6 does not have home screen landscape, no matter what size I place the display.

There are no Apple folks here ... just Apple users like you.

The iPhone 6 Plus, and only the Plus, were advertised as having a landscape home screen at the announcement on Sept. 9.

I have an iPhone 6 and am perfectly happy with the standard portrait home screen.

Im happy u feel the need to express your happiesness for mediocracy. unfortunately I'm going to have to disagree with ur fluffy bunny attidude. I don't want to spend the money that a brand new phone cost, to feel out featured. Now ur argument that we should have known prior to purchase about the phones features, really is a void and ignorant argument. Personally I did know the features of both phones, because of the size of the plus I decided to go with the iphone 6. I feel cheated, because I don't believe I should loss fuctionally because some idiot engineer overthought the application process.

Then air your grievance in the proper location - support.apple.com/feedback. That way, your concerns will be heard by people who can actually act on your suggestions.

I feel totally cheated. I really don't care about the home screen... but c'mon... you tube videos don't go to landscape?? My iPhone5 went to landscape in just about everything except the home screen. Why would I even look to make sure this feature is on the iPhone 6. I like the bigger screen but I feel like I've taken a step backwards! C'mon apple... FIX THIS. I'll be tracking my 14 days to return.. if apple doesn't fix this... I'll be returning 2 iPhone 6's 4.7"

I use my iPhone 6 with the YouTube app and watch videos in landscape just fine.

Why Apple made the decision they made is unknown to us, and speculation on Apple decisions is prohibited here on the forum. Plus, Apple does not participate in the forum, and get their user feedback from the link that was provided.

Good to know , my iPhone came in yesterday and my wife's today we both got the 4.7 inch screen but neither one goes to landscape mode on Safari or YouTube or anything. I've tried all the fixes that are out there and nothing works. Looks like it's either a hardware problem or something that will be fixedso that makes me feel better I'll wait it out a few days thanks.

How could you feel cheated when you purposely and knowingly purchased a device that did not have a feature you wanted? And the personal attack on sberman really wasn't necessary to get your point across, was it, and not just once but twice?

Are you referring to check and make sure that orientation lock is off? What other troubleshooting did you try? While it could be a hardware problem, I find it unusual that 2 devices delivered to the same address would experience the same flaw.

Where was a personal attack??? I thought I was joining a forum discussion about the lack of landscape mode in the iPhone 6 4.7. I have no problem with a native home screen... but you tube? Safari? Why no landscape? If I responded to a particular person instead of a thread and someone was offended; my apologies. I'm just looking to see if my phones are the issue or did apple actually take away a feature that I used to have on my iPhone 5. I've checked the lock button and tried changing to zoom/standard mode. Rebooting, etc. Even my camera does not go into landscape mode. 😟
