I updated to iOS 8 yesterday. I was able to migrate my photos from iPhoto to Photos on my iPad, but I can't seem to get it to work on my iPhone.
Any ideas?

You may have to go with regular troubleshooting steps - restart, reset, restore. Before step 3 make sure to backup your photos regular way to computer.
This worked for me:

My Photo Stream
iCloud Photo Sharing
and Summarize Photos
in the Photos settings. When I reopened Photos it successfully migrated the photos. I was then able to turn those items back on and Photos still worked.
Thanks! I tried reset and restart. Neither worked. I'll try a restore when I get home.
I had seen your suggestion this morning online and tried it, but no luck. Hopefully a restore will work.
iPhoto will not migrate to Photos on my iPhone.
