Jan 12, 2015 12:16 PM in response to PaulMorariuby VeeVeeVoom,Been happening to me for a while now. 5s, running 8.1.2
Annoying thing is... it started happening a lot yesterday, so I went on my Mac and tried a few things regarding Digital Booklets and such, and it actually stopped for most of the day. But then it came back- felt like flushing the phone down the toilet. What's MOST frustrating is that you know Apple knows about this but they won't fix it.
Any new thoughts on a solution? ANYONE?

Jan 13, 2015 8:36 AM in response to VeeVeeVoomby FromCentralPA,I've been having the same problem on my iPad 2 - running latest version of IOS8 - for about a month or so. From reading all posts here and elsewhere I, too, am awaiting the next IOS8 update to see if the problem is addressed. I do not have the problem on my iPhone 6.

Jan 14, 2015 1:16 PM in response to PaulMorariuby J0YCE,I normally adore mysteries and puzzles, but only when the solution is available.
I only have this issue on my iPad 3, my iPhone 4s doesn't have it.
My iPhone on the other hand needs to be constantly plugged in. It drains about 15% per hour. Before the update though, it could last a lot longer, but it didn't allow sound playback without headphones. That has been fixed, in return I now carry around an external battery. I can live with it.
To be fair, both are used heavily and aging but this 'can't download' nonsense is software related and I feel should be fixed relatively easily.

Jan 14, 2015 2:39 PM in response to PaulMorariuby Michalrose,I've posted here before. Same problem on my iPad2. The only solution so far that seems to work is a factory reset Which is something I really don't want to do or spend time doing. Very annoying. Worst update ever. Apple needs to put their listening ears on!

Jan 18, 2015 6:11 AM in response to PaulMorariuby tswann01,in my case I've been able to identify the specific app ... Techwire, which is no longer available on the App Store, apparently having been replaced by the Techwire magazine app. the problem started for me after I reset and restored my ipad 2 (iOS 8.1.2) In an attempt to improve performance.
ive tried clicking Done and Retry and have tried deleting the app but none of these working, I just keep getting the message again.

Jan 20, 2015 1:51 PM in response to PaulMorariuby awrightr16,I have been having the same problem for months, but did not want to do a factory reset. I deleted U2 albums off of all devices and my account, I downloaded all of the books on iBooks, and I tried every other suggestion I could find online. I stopped trying a couple of months ago and this discussion was about three pages long. I've now come back to see if there was a fix. I'm in a hurry so not reading all of the posts, so sorry if this suggestion has already been posted. I went onto my computer and looked at the apps installed on my iPod touch 5th gen. There were several apps that had to be updated but the updates were not showing up on the iPod itself. I updated them through my laptop. After this was done, I ejected my iPod and the popup immediately showed up. I gave up again. It was only a few days ago that I realized that that was the last time I saw the pop up. So try going onto your computer and checking for any apps that need to be updated but aren't showing up on your device and update them there. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Feb 22, 2015 5:01 PM in response to PaulMorariuby TerrapinJess,Goes without saying given that I am posting a message here; yes I am having this same issue and have been for months now. I think this is an experience breaker for me. Does Apple realize how this affects users? I open my camera to take a photo and BOOM, there's the pop up that I have to close in order to take a photo. I am filling out a form and BOOM the pop up comes up again that I need to acknowledge to continue. Is Apple seriously telling us that this issue is not a big deal by ignoring it update after update? I can't tell you how many times this stupid popup ruined something I was trying to do because I had to stop and tap "cancel" or whatever the option is. There is absolutely no reason why I should have to restore my iPhone to factory settings especially without a guarantee that it will fix the problem.
I read Apple may be focusing on stability and performance in the next updates and I couldn't cross my fingers harder that this will be true. Please for the love of *** I hope they release and update for this many-months-long issue.
And yes, I did write them a letter in Apple feedback and now I'm writing here hoping someone finally says, "You know, we ought to fix this issue finally."

Feb 24, 2015 8:21 AM in response to TerrapinJessby Michalrose,I have posted here a few times. I have not found a fix for this annoying pop up. I do notice it goes away for several days utnil I need to reboot my iPad. The pop up returns immediately and even more frequently than before! I've had it with Apple ignoring this giant flaw or perhaps they are incapable of finding a fix. Either way, it's lame and a big fail on their part.

Sep 17, 2015 7:52 PM in response to htmanningby CombatBarbie,Sweet baby Jesus! Finally after over a year of dealing with this stupid pop up it is now gone! I was so close to doing a complete backup and restore on my phone, so glad I didn't! It feels so awesome to be pop up free! I even had Apple looking into this for me and they couldn't do anything to help! Thank you so much!
