Can't rearrange share sheet icons(Share extensions)!

In case anybody is still having this problem, I was able to resolve it through Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. I know it sounds a bit scary, but it's not all that harmful. Anyway, after I did that, I was able to move my share sheet icons around again.

I have been using iDevices for many years and I was never aware that the share sheet/window/panel icons COULD BE rearranged.

I always thought they were always displayed in a fixed position!

YYes, I have been experiencing the same phenmenon too. As long as I don't quit the applicatio it works fine. But after I've quit and relaunched, the share icons are all back to their original/default position. Hope this is a bug that'll be fixed soon.

I have the same problem. I have seen it in Chrome as well as in Safari. I'm glad I'm not alone. I will send feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/. I recommend that others do the same

Regarding my earlier comment, specifically I was trying to reverse the default order of Pocket and Instapaper.

Today I had no problem permanently rearranging extensions so that Instapaper precedes Pocket. I have no explanation for the different behavior today other than the fact that the Pocket app was updated today.

Instapaper was updated today. Now, when I open a browser and select Share, Pocket appears before Instapaper. If I change the order so Instapaper precedes Pocket and then close the browser (either Safari or Chrome), the order on the share sheet reverts to Pocket before Instapaper. It appears that the sort order of the extensions is determined by order of installation of the apps.

I just ran a test. I deleted Pocket from my iPad and then reinstalled it. Now Instapaper appears before Pocket on the Share Sheet, and this order can't be changed permanently.

Must be another iOS 8 bug.

No fix for this in iOS 8.1. Still can't permanently change order of Apple extensions.

On my iPad 4, at least, this was fixed in iOS 8.1.1.

FYI, you don't have to tap More… to rearrange the extensions. You can change the order by dragging the icons.

Using iOS 9.1 and I still cannot reorder icons on my iPhone…

It's literally the most annoying bug of iOS for me and I don't know what to do.
