Is this computer compatible with Corel photo impact X3
I am not sure if mac computers in general work with Corel photo impact X3, I would like to buy it, but does anyone know any other computers that would support the software of Corel!
The system requirements of Corel photo impact X3 are:
- Intel® Pentium® III, AMD® Athlon™ 800 or above CPU
- 512 MB RAM (for Windows® XP), 1 GB RAM (for Windows Vista™)
- Windows® XP Service Pack 2 Home Edition/Professional, Windows® XP Media
Center Edition, Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Vista® - 750 MB available hard drive space for main program and content files
- An additional 320 MB available hard drive space for bonus programs
- True Color or Hi-Color display adapter with 1024x768 resolutions or higher
- CD-ROM Drive
This means at a minimum you would need to install MS Windows on the Mac, you can do so however this will require purchasing MS Windows and installing using either Boot Camp or using a virtualization app such as Parallels or Fusion. This may be very challenging since Microsoft dropped support of Windows XP some years ago. I would consider looking for an alternative application that runs natively on OS X.
