Q: No cellular since upgrading iPad 2 to iOS 8

It is not recommended to upgrade iPad 2 to iOS8.  It will run very slow.

Same problem.

Spent close to an hour on the phone with Verizon, reset all settings and account but cellular network still just shows searching.  On advice of Verizon did full firmware restore, still not luck.  I noticed no cell data number shows up under settings in ipad 2. No problems with update on iphone 5s, ipad air, and ipad mini.

I had the same issue after upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS8. "No service" indicator.

Did a hard shutdown (hold down the power button until prompted to "slide to power off) then restarted, and the Celllular data connection was restored.

I Have experienced my iPad running really slow.... Do you know if there is a way to roll my iPad back to my previous version without losing all my apps and all my app data?  I didn't hear that it wasn't Recomended to upgrade an iPad 2 To IOS8...  Bummer

Same issue with my ipad2 since ios 8 upgrade. Hard reset will restore cellular , but once device locks cellular is lost again.

HeloHawk, you can't downgrade the iOS.

Same here, what a pain! I received no warning that ioS 8 is not recommended for Ipad 2 :-(

This is a potential bug in iOS8 as you see a few users complained the same issue here. It's highly recommended to restore your device to iOS 7.

IOS 8 is listed as compatble hardware to upgrade to iOS 8.

It's actual iPad 2 users, Not Apple who are reporting very slow performance with iOS 8 running on their iPads

Same issue here. Cellular service keeps dropping on iPad 2 after upgrade to iOS8.  Apple please do something!

I have no cellular data at ALL!  So you guys that can get it to work great for you.  This stinks bad apple.

Same problem in Switzerland. iPad 2 loses connection to the provider. Only repeated hard reset helps. Apple tested the appliances for proper update at all?

I have the same problem. Cellular connection went away at random. Not related to telco. Can regain connection after reset but very inconvenient. Have reset network settings and still does not solve the problem

Things should work if Apple is putting ios8 out to iPad 2. I have seen a few responses saying it is not recommended but it is a different issue, if they put it on, they should ensure that it is supported.
