How do I hide some books from Family Sharing?

Umm... Well, this would work if Books were actually one of the content types listed in the top of the purchased items window, but it is NOT.

iTunes offers the purchased items categories of Music, Movies, TV Shows, and Apps. That's it.

Hey there aj133,

It sounds like there are some purchases you want to have hidden from others on your Family Shared account. Once you have the content downloaded onto the device(s) you want them on, you can use this article to hide them. Hiding them does not remove them from devices they are already downloaded to:

Hide your purchases

1. Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
2. From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
3. Go to the iTunes Store.
4. Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
   
5. Choose a content type by clicking Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from the top of the window.
6. A list of your purchased items for the content type you are viewing will appear. Mouse over the item you want to hide until an X appears its top-left corner.
   
7. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the X.

Both of you, ottonomy, and LPAusboy should be able to hide these purchases from the iBooks app. Thanks for the heads up on the article needing updated as well.

Hide books

1. Click iBooks Store (or choose Store > Store Home), then click Featured in the toolbar.
2. Click Purchased below Quick Links on the right, then click All.
3. Place the pointer over a book you want to hide, then click Delete .

Sterling, is there an update for this, to work in the current iBooks...? I'd like to hide some books from sharing.
