unknown error 4007

When starting iTunes Match, I get a pop-up window which reads: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (4007). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later." This message popped up two days ago and still pops up when I try to run iTunes Match.

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I had this problem, but upon finding no solutions here, I called up Applecare. First thing the guy had me do was sign out of the iTunes store and sign back in. At that point, I was queried whether I wanted to add this computer to iTunes Match, I answered affirmatively, and after several minutes spent waiting for the process to complete, I no longer get the 4007 error! Easy thing to try, and I hope it fixes the problem for you.
