I install Ken A Vision software for a microscope and after that all my desktop data and icons are gone!
I already tried the recovery data software (stellar phoenix) and I did not find anything. I also looked everywhere in my mac and all data seems to be missing! Please help!

If all your files are missing
You may have logged in as a different user, such as Guest. Open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences. Your name should be at the top of the user list, under Current User. See also this support article.
If files are missing from one folder
Change the Finder view mode; for example, from icon view to list view, or vice versa.
If files are present, but seem outdated
You may have started up from a different volume (disk.) Open the Startup Disk preference pane and check the selection.
I checked the different accounts and is not that. I only have one account. The finder view mode does not help. I even go to the search bar and look for the files that were in the desktop and they are no where to be found. there is only one startup disk.
What backups do you have?
I only have old backups. All the data i was saving in the desktop is the latest data. Time Machine was off.
Without backups, data loss is inevitable. You could consult a data-recovery specialist such as "Drive Savers," but their services are very expensive.
