Me either. AirPrint was working fine before the IOS 8 upgrade, now I can't print to any of the 3 printers that used to work.

Coming back to say after installing 8.1 on Ipad Air native AIr Print does not work in any app that Ive tried. Its recognized in the network and even appears to spool a bit as before but will not print, I didn't get the same error message but it did not print, I reverted to Wireless Direct by selecting on the printer and then you select the printer in settings/wifi and go back and print, That works fine but two more steps, After printing the network must be selected again in settings/wifi.. Disappointed but the HP 3511 may be too old for HP to issue an update for IOS 8 which is what I understand is required By Apple (hearsay I admit).

I have a new Canon MF229dw multi-function. I guess I am lucky that it does work with my iOS8 devices - but there is a delay of over 60 seconds every time I try to print from my iPad or iPhone. I'd love to see if it will work with iOS7, but unfortunately all of my devices are already on iOS8 and of course there is no way to fall back. There are no firmware updates that I have been able to find. I'd consider switching to a different printer, but I have no idea if it would work any better than this Canon or not.

I still don't get how Apple can take a working Airprint protocol, make changes to it in an update, and then blame the manufacturers for it no longer working! Not to mention that they will never acknowledge the problem publicly, but either ignore the problem altogether or quietly fix it in a future update (which of course will break something else). This really wouldn't frost me *if* Apple allowed some way to fall back to a previous iOS, but of course they don't.

I deliberately waited until I installed iOS 8.1.2 – three guesses: it does not work. AirPrint is over for now and for me. Dialog is there, all printers are there, and a spinning beach ball.

I always thought Apple has a certain expertise in print since the LaserWriter. A little more waiting time and improved quality assurance – I would not mind
