The new iOS 8 Health App isn't on my device.

Today I downloaded iOS 8 and I saw that there is this new Health app. My dad downloaded it and he had the app but I didn't get it. I am running iOS 8 right now. My device is an iPad Mini.

Lets broaden stevejobsfan0123 small and your weird perceptions.

The health app is a reporting device, that displays information collected from activity trackers.

On the iPhone these include functions like the GPS and accelerometer, present in the iPad also.

"Wearable" activity trackers... Polar, Garmin, Fitbit independently collect activity data. Apps like MyFitnessPal and LoseIt collect nutritional and other health data reported in the Health app.

There is no device dependency, the health app should run on the iPad. There should be an OSX version too.

The health app should support Apple's "Continuity" between ios devices. "Handoff let you pick up right where you left off".

I am well aware of all of the function of the Health app, perhaps even more so than you. Your attempt to "broaden my horizons" doesn't change two things: my idea that it would be weird to carry an iPad while exercising and that Apple hasn't seen fit to include the Health app on the iPad.

You can disagree with me opinions all you like; i don't mind. But, as bob points out, that won't do much to get the Health app on your iPad.

Best of luck.

While I can understand why the Heath app is on the iPhone for all the health conscious folks who want to log their exercise, it's almost 2 years since the requests that the Health App be put onto the iPad. Even with the most recent iPad Pro and IOS9 Apple has still either FAILED tou nderstand why some of us would want the Heath App on our iPad, or if it does understand, port it over.

On my iPhone I can use one app to get blood glucose readings then via the Heath App those readings are seamlessly transfered other apps that displayed the readings better, or allow better logging. Further, I'd rather sync thses readings all on the iPad due to its larger screen.

Ideally there could even be a transfer app taking any or all of the readings from the iPhone and transfer them to an iPad or even a Mac. After al,l we're have a simple issue of digital data transfer from on device to another for heaven's sake.

The new iOS 8 Health App isn't on my device.
