Q: Will purchases use a gift card stored in iTunes if family sharing is enabled?

Some of my family members have gift card balances stored in their iTunes accounts. Will their purchases still use the remaining balance if I invite them to Family Sharing or will all new purchases be only charged to the organizer's credit card?

    Hello DavePechkis,

Indeed, credits will be used first in the billing process.

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you.
