Just upgraded my 4s to IOS 8, and the status bar with time and battery life isn't there when using phone horizontally. I have turned it off and back on, and done a hard reset. Any ideas?

As of iOS 8, the status bar is always hidden when the iPhone is in landscape mode. Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to change this behaviour.
