Oct 30, 2014 6:55 AM in response to TrendyRaderby Dregor104,Thank you Trendy for posting this possible fix. I have tried it but It doesn't look like it is going to resolve my issues (IOS 8.1). I have "family" set up and within iMessage we always have a group chat going between our family of four which has not worked well since going to IOS 8.
- Individuals constantly being dropped from group message so the kids are not getting our messages
- Identity of sender not being accurate
- SMS vs. MSM (green vs. blue)
I have spent far far too much time trying to trouble shoot the issues with IOS 8 to date. I am terribly disappointed in this release from Apple. How as users/customers of this software and hardware do we find out what is being acknowledge as issues and being worked on to resolve I wonder.

Oct 31, 2014 3:25 PM in response to ourtrilifeby KNIGHT202,One thing I noticed after I upgraded was that the password requirements had changed.
I reset my password to meet the new requirements and then was able to activate iMessage.
It probably wasn't authenticating because the new password rules were preventing the old password from being used because it wasn't compliant. Hope that helps.

Nov 18, 2014 6:52 PM in response to Mattdryerby Occum's Razor,Thx.
Me devices keeps asking for my iCloud password whenever I compose a mail or browse. It is not an uncommon problem. There are other support communities that are trying to address this. Apple support couldn't even get to the bottom of it. Any thoughts? you did so well on this one.

Feb 23, 2015 3:52 PM in response to joefromashevilleby nayeemk,For some reason text messaging using iMessage decided to stop working on iPhone 6+. I was able to send and receive text messages but certain iMessages were getting ‘stuck’ and never sending. Here’s what I did to resolve my issue:
1. Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Click on Apple ID to LOGOUT.
2. Settings > FaceTime > Click on Apple ID to LOGOUT
3. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
4. Restart iPhone.
5. Go back to Messages and add Apple ID
6. Go back to FaceTime and add Apple ID
7. Send a new iMessage
Voila! It started working as normal. Hope this helps your situation.

Mar 18, 2015 2:21 PM in response to nayeemkby bigdiesel66,Anyone seen a problem like this before? Me and three of my buddies group text a lot - one of the guys switched over to a Droid. We have tried deleting all group messages we have, even deleting phone numbers and re-adding them. We all get his message, but when we reply to the group message it switches over to an iMessage and he doesnt get our messages - any suggestions would be great!

Mar 18, 2015 3:28 PM in response to bigdiesel66by nayeemk,The Droid user needs log in on his mac or old iPhone with his apple id and turn of iMessages. View this thread Deregister iMessage: Frequently Asked Questions - Apple Support
Alternatively, you could all download and use an alternative group chat app like GroupMe or WhatsApp.

Mar 20, 2015 11:27 AM in response to nayeemkby bigdiesel66,The Droid user turned off the iMessaging before getting rid of their phone as well as using the link to de-register the number from iMessages - I get we could all use a third party messaging app, it is just more of a convenience to just use the messaging app. This has been going on quite a while - way outside of the "wait 30 days for the number to be de-registered"

Apr 20, 2015 6:37 AM in response to joefromashevilleby Brobi,Mine is similar.. I'm iMessage works perfectly fine but when I try to delete a single text or conversation it will go away but after that my whole phone starts going slow ecspeciialy when it comes to message and I will click send and fhe message doesn't go through but it doesn't say fsiled to send. It also won't send as a text message. So I hard reset my phone and when I do the messages that I deleted reappear and the messages I tried to send after I deleted messages are gone like I never tried to delete them. I am updated on the latest software. My iMessage on my iPad will allow me to delete messages and then send them perfectly fine. They are connected.
