Pictures have gone after iOS 8 update

Since updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 all my pictures have gone. In recently added it says I have 5 pictures and in collections it says I have 123 but when I go into settings, general and about it says I have 403 (which I should have) how do I get my pictures back? Please help as they are of my two babies
