Q: The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

Since upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and migrated to iCloud drive, I am getting the below error on my desktop (Mavericks 10.9.5) about once a every 2 seconds.  So far I have tried all of the following and nothing seems to work.

1. Turn of calendar syncing in iCloud and turn it back on.

2. Log out if iCloud and Log back in.

3. Log out of iCloud and Log back in using my primary apple id rather than my alternate.

4. Log out if iCloud, remove all preference files and Calendar directory from my mac, log back into iCloud and then launch calendar.

All of my appointments are syncing so I don't understand where this error could be coming from.  But since it pops up almost every 2 seconds its impossible to use the Calendar app.

The server responded:

I have been working on this for days and this worked!  My wife's Mac was the cal problem and my Mac no cal problem.  She had two copies of "Family" in reminders.  I deleted both as well as the "family" calendar after signing her out of family sharing and all was well.  I have since invited her back into the family and still no issues.

I've been trying to resolve this problem ever since I enabled Family Sharing.  My macbook was fine but my wife's laptop began having this problem.  There was no issues with any of our iPhones or iPads - it only occurred on one of our MacBooks.  I tried everything from disabling the calendars to completely removing the iCloud account on the offending laptop - the problem stopped when the iCloud account was completely removed but that defeated the point somewhat.  After re-adding the iCloud account the error returned popping up every 1 or 2 minutes - extremely frustrating.

I tried various fixes posted online such as clearing/deleting cache files etc. - none of these solved the problem.

However, this fix (going into Reminders and deleting the family reminder lists) did fix the problem

Thanks Bob, you have saved me from pulling out the remainder of my hair!

Pleased that worked for you. I can't help feeling I got there by trial and error than conscious design! A serendipitous moment shared!

Thank you!  Someone give this guy a medal and mark this as resolved so the resot of the internet can find it.  It took too long to find this thread for my taste.  I had a feeling it had to do with either the Reminders or the Contacts but couldn't pin it down.  Thanks again!

I cannot tell you the countless hours I have spent on this. Thank you all for posting! For me it was definitely the new "Family" items added for sharing. I deleted from iCloud the Family calendar and Family reminders list. I had to try several times to delete the Family reminders list as it kept popping back up on my iPhone and iPad. Finally it disappeared, and my my calendar problem was solved. I believe the Family reminders list was the culprit.

Apple - if you are paying attention - I cannot even believe that you were no help. After a certain point you decided you no longer needed to try to help, and no longer replied to my direct email and phone calls, and left me to fend for myself. My senior advisor was:

My family and business are long term Mac users and I am very frustrated and disappointed with your service - You are supposed to be the best.

Again, much appreciation to those that posted their solutions. Thank you - Thank you - Thank you!
