Oct 20, 2014 2:20 PM in response to Kittykat""by Frustrated malaga,I too couldn't load pages and finally had to reboot router. Going to order the official Apple adapter from Amazon (ridiculously expensive).......hopefully I'll have more success.
I was about to replace my faithful but very tired Blackberry with an iPhone but now having second thoughts.

Oct 21, 2014 2:08 AM in response to Kittykat""by Nodge22,KittyKat - I bought an official Apple AV adapter from eBay (MD098ZM/A), which works OK on the iPad3 and iOS 8.1.
My original 3rd party adapter from Amazon still doesn't "Accessory not supported"

Oct 21, 2014 3:48 AM in response to Taildragger-J3by markfrompoole,Updated my iPad 2 with 8.1 ( which failed and eventually had to do a compete factory reset and recover from iCloud) and the third party HDMI cable still doesn't work. I have tried to use one of the Media Servers and although it connects and sees the various folders when I attempt to view any of the file types, photos, music or vidoes it fells me that the file type is not supported? Any ideas? This is very frustrating as I used my iPad to display my photos. I would buy the official cable if I could be sure it works. I am hugely disappointed with Apple, this is the sort of problem I expect with Microsoft, and this is why I went to Apple!

And anyway, after paying so much for the ipad itself the apple could just let us to get away with generic hdmi adapter, dont you agree???
