Your looking at a failed download. First try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

Using ASC is becoming deluged with iOS 8 'issues'. In reporting to move these, I pasted a short ⁋ about the 'increasing number of posts' and asked if it was their intent that all be routed to particular iDevice forums - stating no private emai would indicate a tacit YES. No email, so it move reports began with this post

ASIDE: I have been experiencing a brand new glitché du jour... Email notice of reply, click link therein to reply, nuthin there to reply to. Log out, voilå! there it is. Log in, gone again. Not consistent. Still gathering data.

The SiteWare is having trouble with some inserted images sometimes. This is one of those times.

Try to insert it again. As a safety net, completely redo the image as well. i.e., post BOTH

OK, can load the new image. I have asked our Hosts to move this from Using ASC to iPad mini where folks may respond quicker than here.

Is the app working when you press the white icon ?

The Using iPad Forum is my regular haunt. i just come over to the ASC Forum to visit.

If it's working I'd leave it alone. To answer your first question, no it can't hurt you.
