Q: Need to factory reset my ipad

My daughter changed my settings so I can't scroll thru screens and I have to doubletap on icons. So when I am trying to just factory reset it, I can't because th reset button can't be scrolled to and I don't know what to do. Please help. I have the 1st Ipad.

You shouldn't need to reset it back to factory defaults, it sounds like your daughter has turned on 'VoiceOver' (one of the accessibility features) - if you turn the volume up are you also hearing what you tap ? If you are then try triple-clicking the home button and see if that turns it off, and if it does you can then change what a triple-click does via Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home (can't remember which iOS version that it was renamed to 'Accessibility Shortcut').

If that doesn't turn it off then you can either turn it off directly on the iPad (you need to use a tap-to-select and then double-tap to activate/type process and 3 fingered scrolling) to go into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn VoiceOver 'off', or you can do it by connecting to your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5018
