iphone 6 plus pre-order delivery

Hi everyone!

I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Space Gray) on Sept 12th as early as I could (at 4:30 A.M. through the apple store app on my iPhone 5). I tried to order it earlier, but as many of us know the Apple store online was down. I was so very disappointed. During the checkout time, my estimated delivery was Oct 1 - Oct 6 and it would be available to ship in 7-10 business days. My email confirmation stated the same thing.

This is also my first time I have ever pre-ordered an iPhone. My current phone is in pretty bad shape. The menu button popped off a couple weeks ago (it's currently being held on with scotch tape...lmao) and my screen freezes up all the time. I'm lucky if I can answer phone calls. Its not reliable at all to say the least. I have been trying to hold out for the new iPhone 6.

I have been checking my order status relentlessly since I pre-ordered and of course, it still says "Processing Items", with the same estimated delivery date and shipping time. I'm am desperately hoping it arrives earlier than October 1st - October 6th?!

Do any of you know if I will ONLY be getting my phone during Oct 1 - Oct 6 or do I have a chance of getting it earlier?

Does anyone know where all they usually ship from?

Do they usually ship via Fedex or UPS?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I ordered my iphone 6 on september 12th, along with my sister. My order went through first & hers arrived today, my order is still processing (we also live at the same address) my order date has changed from 10th to 17th october to 7th - 10th october. Im sure pre-order means your suppose to have your delivery on time... not a month or more after the release date!! ........ Tick tock

I know, its awful that people are having to wait so long. I pre-ordered mine (6+ 64GB Space Gray w/ At&t) on the 12th at 4:00 A.M.

My order confirmation said my phone wasn't going to be available to ship for 7-10 business days and I probably wouldn't get it til Oct 1 - Oct 7. My phone shipped on Sunday (9/21/14) and my UPS tracking said I should have it by tomorrow (Wednesday 9/24/14) end of day.

I was pretty upset that I had waited up all night so I could be one of the first to pre-order and I still didn't get it on launch day. But apparently I wasn't the only one who had that idea and Apple's supply couldn't handle the over whelming demand of the new iPhone.

You will probably get your phone before 3-4 weeks. Keep track of your order status and when it ships!

I know, it's extremely frustrating. You would think Apple would be prepared for this. I was almost sick to my stomach at the thought that people got to just walk into an Apple store on the 19th and buy a phone without going through the hassle of pre-ordering.

I have heard a lot has to do with what exact phone you ordered and the exact time you pre-ordered and with who? Apple or your cell phone carrier?

Exactly what time did you pre-order? What size/color/space spec iPhone did you order?

A lot of people who waitedtip after 8 A.M. to pre-order got pushed back to 3-4 week ship dates.

3:57 A.M. on the 12th? And Did you get a gold,silver, or space gray 6+? What size...16GB, 64GB, 128GB? With At&t, Verizon, T-Mobile?

I had no idea, but apparently all that has a lot to do with how quickly you will be getting your phone. Like for example, I ordered a 6+ 64GB Space Gray for At&t and pre-ordered through the Apple store. A lot of people who ordered around the same time as me had already gotten their phones except for everyone who ordered a 6+ 64GB Space Gray with At&t. There was hold on that particular iPhone 6 + model. Same with all 6+ Gold iPhones in all sizes.

Yes 3:57 am on the 12th. I stayed up all night so I could pre-order it. Much like you my phone is on it's last leg. I have an iPhone 4s and I don't know how much longer it will last. I ordered a Sprint gold iPhone 6+ 64 gb. When I ordered I thought I'd get it by the 19th then it said the 25th-30th, I was even okay with that date. Now I have to wait until the middle/end of next month to receive the phone, I just hope that the 4s can last that much longer.

Wow! And they moved the shipping date back?! Did you order through Sprint or through the Apple store?

I would call Apple and ask to speak with a customer support rep and find out what is going on and why they moved your order back? I have been hearing about some people getting their orders moved up! NOT pushed back. Thats just not right. I DO know that all iPhone 6 + phones in Gold are in very short supply. They were the most favored over all the other color options. This might very well have something to do with it.

My order was left in "processing items" status for over a week. I called customer support and wrote an email to Apple support expressing my frustration considering the time I ordered vs everyone else who had ordered at/or around the same time who had already received their phones or phones had at least been shipped. I seriously thought there was something wrong with my order. It could have at least said "order confirmed" or "getting ready for shipment", instead of "processing". No less than 12 hours after sending my email my status changed from "processing items" to "preparing for shipment". I also got a very nice reply email apologizing for the delay. I am now suppose to be getting my phone sooner than expected, and my model iPhone 6+ was confirmed to be another one of the phones that they were short on.

And I definitely feel your pain with the state of your current phone! I say a little prayer each morning that my phone will keep hanging on! I seriously wouldn't have been so tempted to email and call Apple to complain if it weren't for the state of my phone. And really just for the principle that people who pre-ordered early on the 12th should have gotten their phones on or close to the 19th!!! I thought that was the purpose of pre-ordering?!

Sep 23, 2014 10:07 AM in response to maycarlson

Yep, I ordered through apple. I was tempted to order through my carrier sprint but I thought that apple was the better choice seeing that I always get all my apple products through apple and never have a problem. Did you order yours through apple or your carrier? Maybe I need to contact them, did you get a better reply by emailing or calling.

The same goes for me I always pray that my phone is going to last another day, I seriously need a new phone.

I also ordered through Apple. Like you, I have never had any issues and my products usually always arrive sooner than expected.

I honestly got a better idea of what was going on when I called them. I was lucky to have gotten a very knowledgable and helpful customer service rep. She explained which phones they were more short on and helped give me a better idea of when I would receive my phone. She didn't give me an exact date but she told me they were doing their best to expedite all the pre-order's shipping so that everyone would get their phones as soon as possible. She said their goal is to always get the products before their expected delivery dates.

I am not sure if me sending an email had anything to do with my phone being shipped right afterwards, but who knows. In my experience sending an email to any company to express concerns always leads to positive results. It's worth a try! And DEFINITELY because your phones ship date was moved back! I would be calling and complaining for sure! There's something going on there.

Anyone's phone get stuck in Korea for more than a day? UPS website says I'll get it on the 25th, but the Apple email says the 29th. No change in the status for over 30 hours. Trying to figure out when to leave the pre signed note on my door for the UPS delivery.

I do know that all iPhones in Gold sold out the fastest (especially 6+), that might definitely be why you got a later shipping date even though you ordered earlier than other people. Those people might have ordered a different color and spec iPhone and with a different carrier. There was an article that stated some people who pre-ordered their phone with At&t were having their orders expedited faster than people who ordered through Apple or any other carrier. I'll try to find that article and post it here. Its not fair but unfortunately a lot of things At&t have been doing recently is far from fair.

And a lot of people were able to order sooner through the Apple store app on their cell phone or iPad, when the online Apple store was down. Thats how I ordered mine. I was able to log on at 3:45 A.M. through the app and put the phone in my cart. I spent about 30 minutes second guessing and questioning whether I should get the 64GB and 128GB (typical indecisive girl problems), so my order wasn't actually placed till closer to 4:30 A.M. I am sure if I would have placed it right away I would have gotten my phone even sooner.

I'm not sure how the pre-order lines worked at the Apple store on the 19th. It would definitely have been a lot smarter to have a line specifically for pre-orders! I personally don't feel anyone should have been able to get an iPhone 6 on the 19th unless they pre-ordered, but I won't go there right now. 🙂
