    Content and Apple IDs -

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

    ok thanks..

I guess that means that one of my identities will remain there forever, and I will keep getting update notices from that address that I don't want?

How would I stop getting updates then?  I don't want the apps that are on that address either...

You can hide the content for which you don't wish updates.

    Hidden Apps -

But if you aren't interested in anything that you bought with that Apple ID, you can delete the content and abandon use of the Apple ID.

YES !!! My question was ...how do I get rid of this identity - Delete content.   How do I do that.

I will not use this identity or want the apps on it.  I have another identity with a different e mail, but the same password. ???

    thanks...

What are the different types of content that you bought with this Apple ID that you wish to abandon?

Mac apps are the easiest to delete from a Mac, drag & drop the app into the Trash and empty the Trash. If you want to make sure that you also get any axcilary files, use an app delete app. A free one is AppCleaner. Drag the app you wish to delete into the widow of the open delete app.

It's more work with anything you bought with this Apple ID in iTunes.

Be sure to remove any bankcard details in the user info in the account.
