Q: iPhone 6 - "Immediately" is only Passcode option

I Just got iPhone 6.  Only have iCloud and GMail account so no corporate enforced settings.  Why is "immedirately" only option for requiring a passcode?  I used to be able to set for 15 minutes, an hour, etc.

is there some other new iOS 8 security setting preventing longer duration for passcode?

Believing you're not dangerous while trying to operate a phone in traffic doesn't make it so. .

I didn't realise this discussion group was about driving .  I repeat, before Touch ID, or with Touch ID disabled, I DIDN'T NEED to operate my phone.  It just worked all by itself, like my car sat nav.  Does anybody have any idea why enabling a more secure feature like Touch ID requires the pass code to be entered immediately every wake-up, if Touch ID doesn't work?  Is Apple saying that Apple Maps are not safe to be used while driving or riding a bike?  I don't think so.
