I received my iPhone 6 plus today and it seems to keep lagging and stuttering in menu transitions and games a lot. It is supposed to be faster than my 5S and iPad Air, and benchmarks say it is, but both devices beat the 6 plus hands down.
Anyone else noticed this?

Same situation here...
i switched from an iPhone 5S with iOS 7.1.2 (super fast, 0 lags or micro lags) to a lagging iPhone 6 (lags in home scrolling, list scrolling for example settings and in almost all apps)....it's an incredible situation, i never had an iPhone with all these lags...
I notice the same on my iphone 6 plus too. not very often I never experienced a stutter or lag in my previous iphones ever! I'm going to wait for a bit and take it to the apple store for a performance check-up
I would be willing to bet that all of you have restored the new device from a backup of your old device, bringing any problems that were on the phone with it. Old data that is unconnected to other apps, etc. Try restoring the phone as new and see what happens.
nope I set it up a new phone..re-downloaded all apps and basically started afresh..I dont see lagging/stutter it all the time..sometimes when i zoom out of an app folder back into the home screen, scrolling down pictures, scrolling down widgets in the notifications area etc..
Try powering the phone off/on. If that doesn't help, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. It will not affect your data. Other than that, I would have no further recommendation, unless you want to try a restore.

I've been having the same issues with my 6 plus, which is maybe a month old now. Have you found anything that helps? I did a clean restore and it's still there. I did the home+power button reset just now, it may have helped a bit, but not really. I want to switch out this particular iphone with another and see if it's still there, ugh. I'd love to hear if you or anyone has found a solution!

have you sorted your lag problem out? I am in the same situation and the technician in genius bar told me it was normal and within tolerance.
i am also facing the same problem my 6 plus lags too
i noticed that my 5s also stutters a bit on scrolling contacts and notifications
i think it might be a software issue
on scrolling my 5s also tend to stutter but i never expected from 6 plus
