"Quartz Composer" can't be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.

Right click and choose Open.

Hi, I have the same problem...

Only it is with the Text-Animation Application "Blender" which I downloaded from:

http://www.blender.org/download/

I Right Clicked to open, but still get the msg. saying:

`Blender cannot be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed´.

Anymore Tips that might help?

The msg. comes from Core Services, any way to get this to verify the developer???

Blender is signed with a Developer ID. If you are getting that message, then there is something wrong with your machine, not Blender. I suggest you start a new question about this.

In the window that opens and gives you that message did you select the open button?

Blender is properly signed and should not be opening such a window.

I just tried a fresh install here and I do get the confirmation window. This is from a Blender download from July. My settings are to allow mac app store and identified developers. Not sure why then I'm getting the confirmation window.

That may or not be visiable here it's the confirmation window. I just tried a fresh download of Blender (it's still the same version from July)

That is a different confirmation. You get that when you download anything. If you download and try to run something that doesn't have a signature, you get this:
