Siri not working after iOS 8

Is anyone having issues with Siri after updating to iOS 8?

Updated to iOS 8. Found Siri was not able to hear me. Thought maybe I had a hardware issue - Tested Speaker Phone, Voice Control, Voice Memo, FaceTime ... all work with microphone.

Siri will work if I have an Apple Headset/Microphone plugged in. Done a Restore, no luck. Did a hard reset, no luck. Appears Siri cannot attach to the Microphone. Checked all settings, disabled Siri, rebooted and re-enabled Siri. Read older articles about people disabling Bluetooth, did this as well no luck. Believe I covered everything possible. Appears to be an iOS 8 bug.

Same issue here but I also had the problem on an iPhone 5 running the latest version of iOS 7 too. It continues with the iPhone 6 and iOS 8. Many times when I touch the microphone in the keyboard to verbally reply to a text message Siri opens but acts like it can't hear what I'm saying. Also happens occasionally when I give Siri a command using the hardware button. It opens but acts like it can't hear what I'm saying.

I've noted it seems to happen primarily when I have been around my car's Bluetooth... I found a little Bluetooth symbol in the bottom and reverted it back to the phone and it works. That said, when it is not near Bluetooth it is not reverting back to iPhone as the default, that and I can't talk to it via Bluetooth anyways...

Same problem on my iPhone 5! I tried everything: soft reset, hard reset, reboot, restore, configure as new... nothing!! I'm very disappointed and angry about that. My phone is out of guarantee, I went to an apple store and they said: "it's a microphone issue, you have to change the iPhone". ***?? Voice memo and video recording are fine! It's just Siri and voice SMS, how can it be a microphone issue??

I wish I could downgrade to ios 8.0 to check if it's an 8.0.2 / 8.1 bug!

These are various things you can try: Reboot your phone: If that doesn't work connect to Itunes and reset your phone: If that doesn't work turn blue tooth off; Check the volume control on your phone: Turn enable dictation on and off for a minute: Turn the power on and off for a minute:

Most likely it's a software issue and there will be a bug fix coming our soon. Siri and dictation will work with your head set connected almost for sure.🙂
