Q: iPhone 6 not working with Exchange settings

iPhone 5 with iOS8 Mail/Contacts/Calendar works fine with my Exchange mail settings.

iPhone 6 Plus with iOS8 Mail/Contacts/Calendar doesnt work at all with the same exact Exchange mail settings. It shows that it successfully adds the account (the little tick marks) but nothing syncs from Exchange.

Good for you, but it didn't work for me.

My setup is slightly different though: Exchange Server 2013 / iPhone 6.  Also I only had 3 devices associated with my account, and it still isn't working after getting it down to 2.

I'm also curious as to how long this fix will hold for you.  For me the only thing has has "worked" was to delete the account on the iPhone then re-enter it, however this only worked temporarily: for a couple of weeks first time around, and only about a day the second time around.  I'm now back to square one.  It's a bit ridiculous if I have to delete and re-enter my Exchange account every couple of days on my device.

Going to try iOS 8.1.1 over the weekend. Has anyone had any luck with that?

Sounds like what I struggled with for weeks, on 11/7 I posted:

After following the advice of others and directions of many from resetting network settings, to deleting phones from the web mail, etc, we discovered on our own something that might help everyone.

We discovered this by connecting one of the new iPhone 6 users to their account and when observing the logs, we found Event IDs 1008 popping up (Event>WindowsLogs>Applications). Analyzing one of the Event 1008 logs, we found that an entry like this “Security settings couldn't be applied to the user device container 'CN=ExchangeActiveSyncDevices, CN=………..”. It was the “CN=ExchangeActiveSyncDevices” that we were most interested in and began investigating that.

The first step was to obviously looked in the Active Directory and when it wasn’t there the next obvious step was to look in the ADSI Edit. We opened ADSI Edit and did a search for “ExchangeActiveSyncDevices” founding a bunch of people who had this container. We navigated to one of the users in ADSI (Edit>Default Naming Context>Users>John Doe) and found the ExchangeActiveSyncDevices container with their mobile devices. What was strange was that we had deleted the devices in the Exchange 2010 Manager (Right click on the user name and select “Manage Mobile Phone”) or via the user web mail (Options>See All Options>Phone). Taking the chance of seeing if this worked, we deleted the ExchangeActiveSyncDevices container and VOILA!…the phone began synching. We tested this theory on several other users and they all worked flawlessly.

The steps we would recommend would be to delete the phones from the Exchange Manager first then go into the ADSI Edit and delete the container there next.

    I Hope this helps

When I moved from my iPhone 5 to my iPhone 6 it was syncing my exchange emails, but not my exchange calendar (gmail worked just fine).  I tried the network reset and still no calendar sync for exchange.  Ultimately what worked was the following steps.

Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars > Exchange > Toggle Calendar off and select Delete from My iPhone > Give it a few minutes and then Toggle Calendar back on and let it resync.

I had the same issue after moving from 5s to 6. The setup accepted everything (got the checkmarks) but no mail/calendar sync. Deleted and added account back in, rebooted phone. Working now.

I picked this up from the conversation, and it worked on my iPhone 6 with the latest software upgrade:

Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars > Exchange > Toggle Calendar off and select Delete from My iPhone > Give it a few minutes and then Toggle Calendar back on and let it resync.

Give it a try, and good luck!

Reset network settings worked for me.  My friend however, had to unauthorize a phone in his webmail/options/phone for his to work.  Thanks Mittelhauser!

I used the Google account setting instead of Exchange this time.  Been using it successfully on iPad 3 running iOS 8 for several months.

However, I had to reboot my iPhone 6 before the calendar and contacts would show up.  Email worked right away.

I Had the exact same issues as every one else. However I fixed it...for now at least. I deleted my Exchange email account, reset my network settings, then I went to settings and added my Exhange account again and it worked. Hope this helps.

I have just had the same issue with my google account so I did the same disabled the 2 step verification process - cleared cache from the beginning of time then changed the password to my google account and then entered the new password into the iPhone 6+ and everything seems to have corrected itself.

Hope this helps seems to have worked for me

I tried everything, from rebooting Iphone 6 plus, reseting network settings , recreating exchange account, rebooting server. And finally, I make it work.

I kill all applications on my phone ( double press home button then flip them out). After that I got all my Emails in Mailbox.

    This worked!  (I think!)

I already got one suspicious "Enter password" popup (which was a symptom of the problem I was having.  No matter how many times it was entered it didn't "take" and exchange account on mail with iPhone 6+ was a mess.  Hoping it doesn't "go bad" again, but when I logged in per your suggestion there were tons of old devices listed and clearing them out seems to have made a difference!  Thank you!

    that worked perfectly.

Resetted the network connection, changed to 1 day, now I can see my work email.

    Thank you!
