Q: Slow Wifi on iPhone 6 Plus

Anyone experiencing really slow WiFi on their new iPhone 6 Plus? Mine is super slow.  When I switch off WiFi, LTE works perfectly and very snappy.  I didn't have any issues with my 5s and not having issues with my iPad Air.  I doubt it's an iOS 8 issue because the 5s and iPad Air are running iOS 8.  WiFi also works fine on my 13" MacBook Pro Retina.  It's not a router issue.  Any ideas??

Same here, I thought it was my ISP.  I downloaded a speedtest app on my iPhone 6 Plus and iTouch.  Results showed that I was getting less than 1 Mbps download compared to over 10-2Mbps on the iTouch.  I believe my brand new iPhone is defective and scheduled a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow to address this, hopefully swap a new phone since they wont have any refurbished.

Just chatted with online support.  Reset network settings and works perfectly fine now.  It's under Settings>General>Reset>Network Settings.  Try that before heading to Genius Bar tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing and reaching out to online support.  That also fixed the issue =)  Now I'm a happier camper and enjoying my purchase!

Same here. Incredibly frustrated. I'm only a few feet from my router and barely have signal. I know the router is not to blame, as I have a TV streaming from it via wifi as well as my laptop - and no issues with either.

    Ugh.

I spoke too soon, woke up this morning and it's barely crawling with any speed.  Setting up a Genius Bar appointment, I believe it's defective

I'm sorry to hear that. Mine is still going strong this morning. Good luck at the Genius Bar and please let us know the outcome and what they say.

Mine still seems to be working fine.  There were some intermittent hiccups, but overall still going strong.  I did a side-by-side with my work iPhone 5s, pages seemed to load about the same speed, maybe a hair quicker on the 6 Plus.  I hope whoever takes their phone to the Genius Bar posts their response and experience so we all know what to do just in case.  Keep the comments coming.

Please keep this thread going with and share any experiences or responses from the Genius Bar on this issue.  It will be good to know what the corrective action from Apple is.

I am experiencing the same problem on my iPhone 6. Surfing and streaming video are fast on LTE. Slow and choppy on wifi. After looking at many posts elsewhere, it seems like an iOS8 issue. Hoping for a SW update soon.
