Oct 16, 2014 6:51 AM in response to duxlubberby bbedell15,Change your router settings. I have Netgear, changed mode from up to 300mbps to 145 mbps. the lower mbps has less interference. I went from 1mb to 20+ on iPhone 6

Oct 16, 2014 10:22 AM in response to Mikef91by bolingjlj,I was having incredibly slow wifi response on my 64g iPhone 6. I did not think it was an iOS 8.0.2 problem because we also have an iPhone 4s and 2 iPad minis that were updated to 8.0.2 and they were not affected. It was just my new iPhone 6. I called Apple Support today and they admitted there is a problem with iPhone 6 and WEP encryption. His exact words were the iPhone 6 doesn't 'play nice' with WEP. After changing my router setting from WEP to WPA, wifi on the 6 seems to be working just fine. I will reserve judgement since it's only been a couple of hours but the Apple Support rep seemed confident this was a known issue and that changing the setting would work. I hope that helps someone.

Oct 16, 2014 11:20 AM in response to Mikef91by dsjac,Same as everyone else, so yesterday I just reset my network settings on the iPhone 6 Plus (my iPad Air was working fine). I left my router with WEP and I noticed some improvement. My router isn't new but it's not old either. Today, without further changes, I noticed that my iPhone seems to be flying on wifi. I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience. I remember one day a few years ago when almost all iPhones couldn't connect to wifi due to a problem with Apple servers. I wonder if they haven't changed something on their end. They'll never admit it but has anyone else noticed an improvement today? I hope it lasts but I'm not betting the house on it.

Oct 16, 2014 12:23 PM in response to Mikef91by bolingjlj,I'd be interested to know your timing today because until I made the change to WPA around noon eastern time, my wifi was still very slow. I had tried everything over that last couple of days before making that change and had noticed when I reset network settings my wifi was OK for a while. Wondering if that could be what you're experiencing.

Oct 16, 2014 5:36 PM in response to Mikef91by LynnfieldMike,My wifi at home works great on everything but new iPhone plus, until now. Found a solution that has worked for me. Settings - privacy - location services - system services. disable wifi networking.

Oct 17, 2014 12:46 PM in response to Mikef91by ray pasquale,So I just got my IPhone 6 and noticed that wifi would degrade from 20x5 to 1.5 x .68 or so after a few minutes. My LG G3 Android always got 20x5 or so no matter what the security encryption setting was. There is something effed up with either the wireless radio firmware or chipset itself on the IPhone 6. Changing from WEP to WPA tends to fix the problem which is odd.

Oct 17, 2014 12:51 PM in response to Mikef91by dsjac,Well, I just gave up after it slowed again. I bit the bullet and switched to WPA2 yesterday and so far so good. We'll see, but thanks for nothing, Apple.

Oct 20, 2014 9:35 PM in response to ishaan joshiby ohmally,On IOS 8.0 since new with iPhone 6+ got between 100 and 125 Mb per second on IOS 8.0 had no issues, resisted upgrading to 8.02, just went from 8.0 to 8.1 I'm very unhappy, latency is in the triple digits and downloads are .02 to .1 Mb per second. Not quite sure what the fix is, posting here hoping for an answer.
Same issue across iPad mini retina, iPhone 5, iPad 4, all of which are on IOS 8.0.
I have done a reset all network settings on all devices and no fix.
The only thing that has changed since yesterday that I can think that might affect it is Keychain or passbook. How does either of these things affect Wi-Fi downloads? 4G/LTE are all where they are supposed to be (8-24 Mb/sec).
This is all on a 6th generation Apple Airport router A/C/N, which I have restarted and reset and still slow WiFi on iOS devices. Two Macbook Airs and iMac are all 100+ Mb on WiFi.
Solutions?
Thoughts?
Ideas?

Oct 23, 2014 1:58 AM in response to jazzy-leroyby as41,Just got my iPad Air 2 and unfortunately the Wi-Fi Issues on my 5GHz network continue exactly the same as my IPhone 6 Plus and 5S. iOS 8.1 didn't fix anything!
