Hi,
I am also having issues on my iPhone 6plus 64gb which is running IOS 8.0.2. I have reset the network settings on the phone. I am using with the following equipment: Apple Airport Extreme and Apple Airport Express.
I have fully reset the Extreme and Express re-flashed then and setup from new but this does not resolve the issue.
The WIFI speeds are fine when I test on my laptop in other rooms I get 72Mbs on my Mac if I test with my iPhone 6 plus I only get around 30mbs. This is present on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency.
I am also using WPA2 and changed the encryption key. I am at a loss as to what else I can try next? Does anyone know when IOS 8.0.3 will be coming out? Or where you can download a beta version to test to see if it helps resolve the issue?

Oct 30, 2014 4:24 AM in response to Mikef91by as41,All,
I tried the escrge 1843 method (iPad Air 2 WiFi Connectivity Issues: RESOLVED) last night and it definitely made things a lot more stable but speed was affected. My usual Speedtest app gives me 50 Mbs Down but after setting the networks to 5ghz - A only and 2.4ghz to B/G the maximum I was able to achieve was 25 Down.
Even after sleep and wake for several hours two out of three devices (IPad Air 2 and 5S) remained connected but unfortunately my iPhone 6 Plus which was behaving better on the previous 5ghz setting lost connection this morning and I had to toggle Wi-Fi on/ off.
So in summary this method is the best temporary fix to date (especially for Linksys/Cisco routers) albeit not perfect for all IOS devices in the same household.
I'm definitely going to buy the new ASUS AC68 router which I think will solve the problem as I'm hearing good reports from numerous sources!

Nov 3, 2014 4:49 AM in response to Mikef91by as41,I got rid of my Linksys EA4500 and got the ASUS RT-AC68U - AC1900. I was due an upgrade to get on the AC standard anyway so wasn't overly annoyed!
Since testing it over the weekend it seems that my Wi-Fi issues have been resolved. I haven’t had a single drop or had to toggle the Wi-Fi switch on/off to get it the connection live again. Speeds have been consistent and this is across all my devices including :
iPhone 6 Plus
iPad Air 2
iPhone 5S
Macbook Pro Retina – 2012 non AC version
I hope this lasts but so far so good although I appreciate this is a deep routed iOS 8 problem that only occurs with certain router brands / chipsets.
Either way apple need to resolve this in the next update for the vast majority of us and this certainly shouldn’t force us to upgrade our existing equipment!
Good luck to all and I’ll post back if things start to get sour again!!

Nov 7, 2014 1:39 AM in response to Mikef91by as41,Just to let you know I upgraded to the Asus RT-AC68U last weekend and have been running my Air 2, 6 Plus and 5S perfectly now for a week without any wifi Issues.
These are all on the 5Ghz network and working at full speed.

Nov 7, 2014 2:23 AM in response to wizkid18by Outdaswats,People please change router settings from wep to wpa..this will resolve. Trust me

Nov 7, 2014 3:17 AM in response to Outdaswatsby wizkid18,Hi,
This does not work for me. I have changed to all the different wifi security methods and this has not worked.
I am using the Apple Airport Extreme with an Airport Express which is extending the 5Ghz network. Both of which are running the latest available firmware.

Nov 12, 2014 3:38 PM in response to travisn321by jbindy1,I am going to hold out on replacing my phone until 8.2 comes out. I did the network reset and went from 35mbs down to 80mbs down on a 150mb connection using iphone6. I believe it's a software issue combined with iphone 6 issue not a 100% hardware issue. My Ipad Air hits those speeds just fine

Nov 14, 2014 8:01 AM in response to Mikef91by ocshellback,I had success after activating the 5 GHZ Network under wireless option on my new Airport Extreme.
I tried the majority of solutions mentioned throughout this thread with no success. My new iPhone 6 Plus had super slow speeds (.2 mb per second). I noticed my iPad had similar slow speeds. My MacBook Pro was getting the usual speeds of around 40 to 60 MB per second. I have all my OS's and iOS's up to date. After activating the 5 GHZ network, my iPhone 6 Plus started showing 120 MB per second speeds. I had most of my devices start using the 5 GHZ network and all started showing faster speeds. Some of my older devices (XBOX 360 and a Blu Ray player) I left on the 2.4 GHZ network.
I would guess that this problem/feature is associated with iOS 8.1 and would likely be fixed in the next update (hopefully).

Nov 25, 2014 7:25 PM in response to ocshellbackby JfromNH,The issue has been discovered by the jail breaking communit. it is with AWDL (think AirDrop, AirPlay). Turned of AirPlay and the issue went away for me. There is even a fix for the jail broken devices. I am hoping that apple will be able to resolve this in the next update.

Dec 10, 2014 6:07 PM in response to Mikef91by Rafael S Souza,I've read that some people got this issue solved by disabling Wi-Fi Networking under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services
Someone here tried this?

Dec 13, 2014 12:26 PM in response to Mikef91by noozen,Hi
Tried everything on this tread and nothing worked
But this did work for me:
On router, set wifi frequency at 20MHz for 2,4GHz and 5GHz (not auto, not 20/40/80 or otherwise) remember different SSID names.
If you want to know why this may work for you then google it! (frequency interference)

Dec 13, 2014 6:25 PM in response to jdprockby Chris W. Herndon VA,I have the 87R as well, and it works great for everything except my 6 plus... mere moments ago I had speeds of 80 mbps up and down on the 6 plus, and without changing anything, it is now down to 6 mbps down and 65 mbps up. The upload speed always barely changes and the download speed always seems to drop. Any ideas? I have tried all of the recommended fixes I could find and no luck.
