Q: Slow Wifi on iPhone 6 Plus

Anyone experiencing really slow WiFi on their new iPhone 6 Plus? Mine is super slow.  When I switch off WiFi, LTE works perfectly and very snappy.  I didn't have any issues with my 5s and not having issues with my iPad Air.  I doubt it's an iOS 8 issue because the 5s and iPad Air are running iOS 8.  WiFi also works fine on my 13" MacBook Pro Retina.  It's not a router issue.  Any ideas??

Currently having this issue on one of two brand new iPhone 6 Plus's (the other one is fine). Have spoken to Apple Support and it is being escalated to their engineering department - I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

PS I tried all the suggestions in this thread, they were the exact same things that the support guy got me to try as well...

Day 3 with my I6.  I had the problem described above: Consistent Wifi download speeds of around .3 - .4 megs with pings of 17 and upload speeds of 12 megs.  Reset network settings didn't work.  I then experimented with router settings until I put the router in G instead of N and now my download speeds are 13 megs with is the fastest possible with G.

So it's fixed but the solution is not entirely satisfactory because I have a 50 meg Comcast connection and a N router and I'm now throttled down the G.  Which is not terrible but disappointing that a company with the resources of Apple can't fix this.  I hope it's not a bug baked into the silicon.

Is the issue on just one specific WiFi network or have tried more than one in different locations and get the same results?

So, I was experiencing this same problem throughout my house with both my iPhone 6 Plus as well as a few other pieces of hardware.  This might not help everyone, but it made a HUGE difference for me that does not seem to be stopping.

I have an Apple Airport (the new tower design) and had turned on both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz networks.  After I disabled the 5GHz network, everything seemed to come back to normal for me.  My speeds went from close to 1 meg to well above 20 megs regularly.  I had also had problems getting my older second generation Apple TVs to want to authenticate on the network with both the 2.4 and the 5GHz networks working together, but now have not had a single problem with any of my hardware.  Not sure where the issue is coming from, but this worked for me.  Cheers.

Looks like my solution (work around, really) is to turn off cellular data.   I've tried the WPA2 thing- didn't help, resetting network settings seemed to work for a few days, but then the problem showed up soon after and I lost a bunch of settings that were annoying to redo (all my fingerprints-grrr).  However, when I turned off my cellular data, speeds went immediately back to normal.  I even tested by turning it on and off and it's very consistent for me that with cell data off, my speeds are great.  With it on, my phone is very flaky.
