Oct 7, 2014 9:02 AM in response to @nkitby YuriyIs,Just to report. After 24 hours of working I had only one restart and one freeze (bug type 188)!
I only use phone calls, sms and camera as nothing else is working properly.
For wifI I use my old 5 or 6 years android phone, which works still fine.

Oct 7, 2014 9:22 AM in response to @nkitby remfan9,I was one of the original folks who posted here about my iPhone 6 Plus' issue as well as my wife's iPhone 6. Both of our phones wifi functioned properly at our work's offices and elsewhere, but not at home. But at home, my iPad and old iPhone 5 (both on iOS 8) worked perfectly fine on wifi. Resetting my iPhone 6 didn't help, nor did any of the tricks I've seen throughout this post (switching off data, location services, etc.)
So I simply tried doing a complete reset of my Netgear router, and that completely worked. Both my phone and my wife's phone now work on our home wifi without issue (no dropping wifi either), and we've been successfully using it for about 4 days now. I mean, it's totally odd because for the most part, everything is set up on my router exactly the same as it was before. The only changes I made were that I changed our broadcasting SSID and am now broadcasting the name - previously the name was hidden. But everything else remains the same.

Oct 7, 2014 11:55 AM in response to @nkitby as41,apple have just released iOS 8.1 Beta 2 and I have read on another post that the wifi issue has been resolved?

Oct 8, 2014 12:26 AM in response to as41by YuriyIs,Today after my phone restarted several times, I've found an easy solution: turn off the phone. And it completely worked: so, there is NO more restarts, NO freezes, NO problems with wifi.
My friend said that I've bought not a phone, but a "brick". But I don't agree with him, because cost of the brick is 1 US dollar, and for this iPhone 6 masterpiece I've paid about 1'000 US dollars.
p.s. I hope very much that this iOS 8.1 will help. However, waiting almost a month to make my new phone work is awful.
p.p.s. I just wonder why they didn't test it before selling to customers:(

Oct 8, 2014 8:09 AM in response to ygoronby CeliaBaby,Hey, are you still have the WiFi issues on your brand new iPhone 6?
-
Oct 8, 2014 8:14 AM in response to CeliaBabyby ygoron,It's not hardware related for sure (changed 3 iPhones)
I have not had WIFI issues since I disabled location services for weather app that was enabled as the extension in the Control Center.

Oct 9, 2014 4:22 PM in response to @nkitby timsplace0,Iphone 6 Plus user, having the same problem. I just got my phone 2 days ago and i went to 8.0.2 the first day. Since then I have constantly noticed the wifi goes away and my phone switches to LTE, then when i go to wireless it does not see any nearby wifi (there are several). So if you shutdown and back up it works fine. Ive had no other issues with my router, its a single band. Its happened 3-4 times already today and driving me crazy.
I switched from HTC One M8 and ive never had any issues like this, please apple you pride yourselves on user experience and I finally came back to you and i am having a much worse experience than I ever did on Android. I am loving the phone with exception of this issue but it needs to be addressed.

Oct 9, 2014 4:29 PM in response to christopherfromsioux fallsby timsplace0,Actually this worked for me as well, so far. Thanks, but Apple still needs to get this fixed. Again im coming from Android and did not expect any of these type of issues. I still love the phone but Apple is not as clean an os as I had hoped it would be, i expected these things from android, but really never had many.

Oct 10, 2014 6:53 AM in response to christopherfromsioux fallsby Bryan Anderson,i was able to resolve my WiFi issue by disabling Location Services->System Services->Wi-Fi Networking. Disabling all of location services did not help (oddly).

Oct 10, 2014 7:03 AM in response to Bryan Andersonby BCinNYC,I hope it works for you. So for anything that's been done has been a temporary fix. Apple will be releasing an update soon which should address the Wi-Fi issues but the people should still contact Apple about the problem.

Oct 12, 2014 3:07 AM in response to @nkitby Rev0Luti0n,Iphone 6 64GB
And I´am also having this problem . Wifi drops while my phone is asleep and does not re-connect when I wake it up. The phone is also unable to find any networks. I have tried turning wifi off and then back on, turning Airplane mode on and then off, and have reset network settings. The only thing that would would seem to work was restarting the phone.

Oct 12, 2014 9:07 AM in response to Rev0Luti0nby taluc123,I am also having this issue, both at home and at work and I've never had issues with either Wifi network before. The most frequent circumstance when it loses connection is when it was asleep. Sometimes it will connect to Wifi after a few minutes but if not it requires a restart to connect to Wifi.

Oct 12, 2014 3:00 PM in response to taluc123by as41,Just a quick snapshot of my chain of events. I’m currently on my fourth iPhone 6 Plus 64GB here in London, UK. Every time I have spoken to AppleCare and told them that I have gone through all the Wi-Fi troubleshooting methods possible they have asked me to get a brand new retail replacement as I’m within my 14 day return period. I’ve been experiencing the following issues:
- Wi-Fi disconnects and switches to 4G (Restart required for temp fix)
- Wi-Fi is still active but there is no traffic or activity– often when in sleep mode for long periods of time. (Toggle Wi-Fi on/off for temp fix)
- Wi-Fi disconnects and cannot find any networks (restart required for temp fix)
- This has been occurring on both iOS 8 and 8.0.2
- The issues are the same on both my 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks
- This is affecting my ip6+ and 5s (5s used to work perfect on ios7 on same networks) – My MBP-R and all other devices run perfectly on my network.
I spoke to AppleCare again yesterday and asked for their advice as its now my fourth iPhone in just under a month. This time they said that apple were fully aware of the Wi-Fi problem and that new repair tickets were not being raised for their engineers as they are already working hard to get this resolved. They also said they could see all the issues raised on the apple discussions boards which they usually don’t admit too! I asked what to do next and the advisor apologised and said this is clearly a software glitch and will be resolved in the next update. I asked for a timescale but unfortunately none was given.
As stated above I have tried all the troubleshooting methods discussed on forums and on tech websites but the only thing that gives me a stable connection without any disconnects (especially on my 6 plus) is turning cellular/mobile data off when I know I’m going to be on Wi-Fi for a sustained period of time (e.g. at home or work). I appreciate this is annoying but it’s the best temp fix until an update comes out.
Hope it helps everyone who is having issues with their devices that have cellular functionality.
Any comments welcome
