Oct 13, 2014 6:59 AM in response to as41by BCinNYC,Thank you for your updates. This seems to be a problem that many people are experiencing. I believe Apple will come out with an update soon,at least I hope so.

Oct 14, 2014 11:26 AM in response to BCinNYCby Apple 7,Apple shop advises that there is something wrong with our home Wifi.
We experience similar intermittency as reported on this thread with
iphone 6. ipad and Macbook just fine. Provider check also fine.
So we are pretty confident it's something to do with the current version
of iOS 8.x. Looking forward to the next update near soon...

Oct 15, 2014 6:58 AM in response to djwouterby BCinNYC,I hope the replacement phone works for you. I've replaced my phone and restored it as a new loading back all my apps and I still have the problem. So I have the problem on two phones and AppleCare has work with me and basically they won't admit there is a problem but someone said that it's most likely a software compatibility issue that will be fixed in a new iOS release.

Oct 15, 2014 11:46 AM in response to @nkitby Helen_Jones,I'm having the same issues. 64GB iPhone 6 on iOS 8.0.2
Got the phone on 26 September but it has only just started with the wi fi issue last night? I turn wi fi off during the day and when I get home at night it doesn't find any networks. Only hard reset works. Also randomly drops signal then reconnects. Does anyone know what the current Apple advice is? Are we waiting for a software update or are we supposed to go and get a replacement?
Thanks
Helen

Oct 15, 2014 3:48 PM in response to Helen_Jonesby BCinNYC,It seems that each AppleCare agent gives different advice. I believe this is a software issue that will be resolved in an upcoming release of iOS. Other than that I really don't know. We are all in a wait and see mode.

Oct 15, 2014 3:57 PM in response to BCinNYCby Joey Numbaz,I mentioned this several pages back, but the suggestion to turn off bluetooth if you do not need it worked for me. Turn off bluetooth, give it a few minutes and all wireless networks should be available. I've also found that my 2.4 GHz networks seem to have better luck with bluetooth on than my 5 GHz networks, for whatever that is worth.

Oct 15, 2014 4:02 PM in response to Joey Numbazby BCinNYC,Thank you for your recommendation. I've tried your recommendation and everything else on this discussion board as well and various steps with the AppleCare and nothing has worked. Unofficially someone from Apple told me that they're looking to have the situation rectified with the next release about ios 8 this month. Remember this is unofficial.

Oct 17, 2014 4:52 PM in response to @nkitby dsg76,I've read through this whole thread, as I was experiencing the same issue on my i6. The funny thing was that my wife's phone was not experiencing this at all, but I don't think its hardware related. We are both on 8.2, but the only difference is that I upgraded to iCloud Drive with my macbook air, and she has not.
I did manage to fix my phone for the past few hours- I can tell you now that none of the fixes in this thread worked.
This worked for me:
1. Turn off WiFi.
2. Hard reset the phone (home button + lock button for 5 seconds).
3. Turn phone on
4. Turn on WiFi.
So far my all networks are showing up, and its stable on my home network (WPA2 N router). The one caveat is that i do for an instant see LTE when I wake the iPhone, but not sure if that affecting anything.
I do think this is software related for sure, so don't waste your time going to an Apple store. v8.1 update will be released on Monday- wait until then and hopefully all issues will be resolved. (And we get Apple Pay! $$)

Oct 19, 2014 3:22 PM in response to dsg76by martinctv,I have tried your method a few times and it unfortunately does not work. WIFI comes back for a little while but you can get the same result if you just reboot the phone. I hope tomorrow they address this with the update.

Oct 20, 2014 7:12 PM in response to @nkitby networkingwiz,My IPhone 6 would not find the network after I switched it to LTE.
Restarting the Modem and Router did not work. Power cycling the phone did allow it to automatically reconnect to the network.
Apple should be addressing this issue since it is not a network issue. It's a software problem.

Oct 20, 2014 7:39 PM in response to networkingwizby Bkklein35,networkingwiz are you running Ios 8.1 ?
-
Oct 22, 2014 8:45 AM in response to Bkklein35by BCinNYC,So far 8.1 seems to have fixed the issue. I say my iphone 6 go to LTE and immediately return to wifi. Time will tell!

Oct 22, 2014 9:58 AM in response to Randy Kuiteby Randy Kuite,iOS 8.1 has resolved my Wi-Fi issues. I can now stay reliably connected via the 5 GHz band on my Netgear router and the throughput is excellent.. 2 days so far without any issues...

Oct 22, 2014 3:05 PM in response to @nkitby s550v,I'm using the 6+ and this issue of WiFi dropping only started yesterday. A reboot of the phone was the only fix. Today, same issue had to restart 6+.
After reading 7 pages of comments, has anyone confirmed if Apple is acknowledging the issue?
Have had the 6+ for only 3 weeks. Quite disappointed that a brand new phone has simple issues as connecting to WiFi.
Apple, you're making a lot of money from us consumers and with a premium price for your hardware, i expected less hardware issues (than from your competitors). Something like this should not happen. My 5 yr old Samsung tablet still working fine and has no issues.
Please issue a fix asap.
