Sep 23, 2014 6:04 AM in response to @nkitby mscholes,Exactly the same for me. Definitely not a router issue, nor an iOS8 issue as iPad is fine, iPhone 5 is fine and the problem occurs across multiple WiFi locations.
It's also only pot luck as to whether any of the resets work...sometimes it does, others it takes about 10 resets/restarts. Absolute disgrace that issues such as these crop up without any official line/apology/solution coming from the company

Sep 23, 2014 8:07 AM in response to @nkitby BoB222),Yes, happening on my iPhone 6 too. Constantly drops wifi. Since people use wifi on their phones a heck of a lot, you'd think Apple might have bothered to make sure this works... unless it's just a ploy to get more cellular data fees to AT&T. So mad with Apple right now.

Sep 23, 2014 8:15 AM in response to remfan9by remfan9,Just a quick follow up, I've tried resetting Network Settings, resetting All Settings, and Erasing All Content and Settings now on my iPhone 6 Plus. After each attempt, I was able to set up and connect to my home WiFi (both 2.4ghz and 5ghz), but was unable to get it to actually do anything.

Sep 23, 2014 10:34 AM in response to Bkklein35by Bkklein35,resetting my network settings didn't help. when I got to work this morning I re-entered the Wi-Fi password for that location (it had been deleted because of the reset) within 15 minutes it dropped Wi-Fi and was back on LTE. I tried to reconnect but it showed no networks in range once I power cycle the phone all networks in range showed up again and I was able to reconnect. I'm calling Apple now!!

Sep 23, 2014 10:48 AM in response to Randy Kuiteby Randy Kuite,Apple Support didn't seem to be aware of the issue. Or not willing to acknowledge it. I offered to send them the URL to this thread. LOL. He wasn't interested.
Oddly after restoring to plain iOS 8 and confirming the problem could be re-created with none of my apps or data, I then restored to the backup I made just prior and now my phone is staying connected now. Makes no sense but its definitely staying connected now. Shrug.

Sep 23, 2014 3:15 PM in response to @nkitby pscampbe,I took delivery of an iPhone6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Setting them up at work BOTH could not connect to our Airport Wifi. It seemed to associate but the phone couldn't get an IP address. all other phones and devices can connect to the Airport devices. Trying various methods including clearing settings, reloading from scratch - none have worked. I think it's a problem with the iPhone6 rather than iOS8. At home the 6 Plus is doing strange things with WiFi, dropping connection to my car's wifi, slow or bad connectivity etc. to home WiFi, Basket case on the WiFi front!! Hey Apple!! how about a comment?

Sep 23, 2014 5:31 PM in response to @nkitby jrb1976,Same issue here. Wifi drops, and now there are no signals showing up in the scan. Brand new iPad, iPhone 4S, and brand new MacBook Air are all picking up signals in the exact same location. The standard router resets, (I actually did a hard reset on my AirPort Extreme), don't change anything.
Now the question is, how long have I been sucking up cellular data in my house before I noticed the wi-fi drop? This kinda stinks.

Sep 23, 2014 7:49 PM in response to @nkitby teefar,Im having the same wifi issues on my iPhone 6 as well, but only on my home router. Its an older Linksys G router but all my other wireless devices work fine. What's interesting is the iPhone is blazing fast when I connect it to my wifi at my job. Its a much new/nicer router than I have at home but my 5 didnt have an issue and my macbook pro works fine ad well. I do hope its not an iPhone 6 issue.

Sep 23, 2014 9:45 PM in response to @nkitby OnlineSlacker,I am having the same exact issue. In summary; I have confirmed the problem to be with the iPhone itself. I first upgraded my 5S with no problems. I purchased two new iPhone 6 space grey 64GB units and one works flawlessly, but the other is jumping back an fourth on the wi-fi. I first thought it was maybe a router issue, but after confirming the other two units including my iPad 3 (on iOS8) and iPad 4 (on iOS7) also work fine, I decided to troubleshoot further.
Problem detail: The wi-fi randomly disconnects and reconnects to wi-fi, however; when it disconnects, wireless networks are not accessible or viewable at all.
Repair attempts:
Attempt 1: toggled wi-fi on and off, then tried going into airplane mode for 2 minutes. This had zero effect.
Attempt 2: I rebooted the iPhone. Result: The iPhone 6 found and connected to my wireless network with no problems, but after a few hours, it fell offline again.
Attempt 3: I reset the network settings 3 times, and each time the problem was only temporarily resolved.
Proposed attempt 4: After research, It's clear that even a full whip and reload of the phone with factory setting has not resolved the issue for other users. I will not waste any more time here.
Conclusion: I'll be taking my effected iPhone 6 back to the apple store for replacement.
