How to modify cover art for Audible files?

Hi all,

I emailed this question to Audible.com and got the answer of "not possible at this time". But I know from experience, that venders don't know everythin even about their own product especially after it gets into the hands of very creative people.

The cover art in an Audible .aa audiobook files is of a very poor resolution of about 100x100. So, in the Cover Flow mode in iTunes 7, the cover art for Audible files look very blurry. I've tried to use "Get Info" to update the artwork with cover art from Amazon.com but, iTunes will not allow me to modify the cover art for an Audible .aa file.

Does anyone here know if a way to update the cover art of an Audible audiobook?

Thanks,
Steven

I really like how iTunes and the iPod work together in respect to audiobooks. If you have the iPod set to autosync, the place where you stopped listening gets transferred between iTunes and the iPod. Therefore, I can listen to a book in iTunes, sync the iPod, go mobile and start off in the book on the iPod where I left off in iTunes and vice versa.

Yeah, I figured there us nothing I can do about the Audible cover art short of h@cking the .aa file which I don't want to do.

Thanks,
Steven
