Q: Trouble setting up iPhone 6 as phone.

After backing up my iphone 5 and then restoring the data to my iphone 6, I have no phone service.  Where my phone number should be on the itunes summary page it says n/a.  All the other info transferred but the phone number. My old iphone 5 is still showing the phone service.  Did I miss a step? Suggestions?
