iPhone 6 bluetooth not working correctly with Nissan

My wife and I each have a Nissan Pathfinder (mine a 2014, hers a 2013). We have always had out iPhones pairs to them, but the iPhone 6 is not working correctly. The phones pair, but there is no audio (in or out) during phone calls, the screen in the car does not show a call was initiated when dialing out, and the Answer and Disconnect buttons on the steering wheel are not working. We have restarted both phones, restarted the car, deleted the pairing and re-paired. Nothing works. Is anyone else having this problem? This is a HUGE problem and it needs to be fixed ASAP (I am hoping through a phone firmware upgrade).

I also noticed that my Jabra headset I use at my desk (although it works for calls), loses the functionality of the single answer/disconnect button. I am assuming this is the same issue to either the bluetooth radio hardware to firmware. I have only seen one page on the net talking about this to date. Any hep is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

No, not an Apple fix, but sometime I can get it to work if i go to my phone, turn off blue tooth, then turn on, go to bluetooth (on phone) push my AUDi UHV(which is my car) and reconnect. Apple is still working with me and understands it is an apple problem (only after they tried to blame it on audi and i proved that an iPhone with ios7 still works). My work gave me an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 to use and it work perfectly every time. I am expecting a call monday from an apple engineer.

Are you having the same problem?

I have an 2015 Audi A6.

I paired my wife's iPhone 5s with the car. (iOS 8.2 installed.) Works fine.

I paired my iPhone 6 with the car. (iOS 8.2 installed.) Horrible! When I dial a number and hear ringing, there is heavy static during each ring. There is also static when the person on the other end of the phone speaks. It's worse at the beginning of a call.

I have reset network settings, cleared all Bluetooth profiles, and done everything that I can think of that might help.

All other Bluetooth functions work fine including streaming from the iPhone 6. The problem is only with phone calls on the iPhone 6.

I tested my iPhone 6 in another car, a Honda CR-V, and it's fine. I believe that this is an Audi issue, but I'm not sure.

You have the exact issue that i have. The reason i do not believe its an audi issue is my iPhone 5 worked great UNTIL i update to iOS 8. I now have an iPhone 6 with ios8 and it the same problem. Again i have an iPhone 5 from work with IOS7 and no issues. That is why i think it is an apple issue.

When in the car and connected to bluetooth, try the instruction i gave in the last email.

1. turn off blue tooth from phone

2 turn on from phone

3 find your audi on your phone and reconnect.

this may give you temporary help for that trip only.

My email is maher@email.com. I will stay in contact with you and let you know what resolution i get from apple. I have tried everything i have seen on every blog, does not work. Apple even replaced my phone. Very frustrating .

Hi, I have 2014 Z and Iphone 6 plus with same problem, but I found the solutions.

(1) Not an issue with Iphone 6 Plus

(2) Synch your phone as usual

(3) Go to your Nissan Navi Console ::: Setting Button -Bluetooth-Connected Device ( 2 device-Hand Free Phone and Audio Player)

(4) NOW (1) Select Hand Free Phone-Iphone 6(what ever shown on screen) -Select

(5) Now (2) Select Audio Player- Iphone6 - Select

**** Problems we had was simple we had to pair both Phone & Audio Player to have Bluetooth Audio ! ***

your phone should work fine, I think. - Good Luck !

Did anyone get this resolved? I tried everything listed. I have a 2015 Nisaan pathfinder with navigation. My Bluetooth connects but during incoming calls I see only the number not names (which are in my contacts and downloaded phone book). I have iphone 6 8.3 which works fine in a ford 2015 escape and 2013 explorer. My daughters 5S 8.3 iphone pairs fine and can see incoming call names. Nissan tells me to put a 1 in front of the area code in my contacts. Did not work. factory and network resets not working. My dealer service manager telling me it is apple problem. HELP!

I'm not sure why it worked, but here is how I fixed my blue tooth/phone call problem. I have an iPhone 6 with Ver 9.0, and a 2014 GMC Arcadia. On the iPhone I disabled iCloud drive. Went to settings/contacts. Then under sort order set Last,First. Display Order First, Last.

Connect Iphone to IMac via iTunes. Back-up your iPhone to iTunes. Now uncheck Contacts, scroll down and check remove contacts from iPhone. Now Sync the iPhone. All contacts should be gone. Eject your iPhone and manually enter names/phone numbers. It's worked for me for a week now. Post how it worked for you.

Folks, welcome to Microsoft's Google's IOS iPhone.

Yeap! I read all posts in this thread. My iPhone 6 with IOS 8.4.1 worked perfectly with my Merc for years. Now, CTRL+ALT+DEL, reset iPhone settings, iPhone network, reset car Bluetooth, erased everything, etc. etc. Never stayed that much in my garage!

AND, my iPhone pairs but Contacts do not sync with my car anymore.

Started - it seems, with the awful upgrade to IOS 9 followed by a downgrade, once IOS 9 has a plantation of bugs waiting for you.

I will indeed reset the iPhone for factory defaults this weekend, but my conclusion is that APPLE is loosing the grip. IT WAS a great phone and a high quality operating system, but now I feel it is just another gadget that I can't get to work properly. A gadget costing USD 1.000,00 though.

By the way: my wife's iphone 6 works nice. She never upgrades... lucky she. All of my friend's tested Android phones works nice. Just mine doesn't. I've tried it all, including leaving iCloud and so on.

By not having my Contacts sync with the car I don't know who is calling most of the times, have to check the phone screen. Have to use the phone to locate my Contacts (Siri of course doesn't get Portuguese names right, so it is useless).

Wondering to have an Android phone just for the car...

APPLE? Is there anybody out there?

I am having this exact issue with a new 6s connecting to a '14 Armada Platinum with Nav. Have tried everything to no avail. Currently working with an Apple senior advisor. So far, nothing. Worked perfectly with IP 5 running latest version of iOS 8. Don't know if it is the new phone or iOS 9. Guessing since you have a IP 6, it's the iOS 9.
