IOS 8 copy paste problem + slowdown

Uber cool and in landscape too; so many apps are only in portrait which I rarely use.

I Downloaded and tried iclear with minimal success. Today I downloaded Dolphin Browser and using it instead of Safari. Think I am having success, but will continue testing it out. I try not to use the FB app and used safari accessing FB through URL using safari. When I click to copy URL it does not copy the current URL. If I select send in chat message or email it provides the new URL info. If I copy from the chat message or email and try to paste into FB it pastes the old stuff not the new copy. So maybe it's a safari scenario? No matter what it is, it's PITA and more so that Apple not giving Rats butt.

I hope this copy and paste issue gets resolved. It's so frustrating when I need to sent out a standard letter to several people. It'll maybe paste it it once the then exit will be a copy i did a day earlier lol. I was hoping this latest update would fix It but it didn't. I end up using my iphone that I didn't update!

i notice if an imessage comes through, the virtual keyboard doesn't work with the pop up window. Not a huge deal but if you're in the middle of typing a response and another comes through it replaces the previous and what you've typed isn't saved.

I pre ordered my iphone 6 64GB and i got it on the 19th. Now, everything was working fine until they released IOS 8.0.2 and i decided to upgrade. The first few hours after the upgrade everything was working fine! then everything started to freeze a lot and i mean a lot! like i had to restart the iPhone so many times because it would get stuck every where (specially when i wanted to unlock and put the pascode) then after that another problem i kept having was like a blue screen that would pop up randomly every 5 minutes! like literately every 5 min, specially when i was trying to listen to music, unlock my device, or just text someone or even just by trying to bring up the keyboard. But that wasnt all, then it got worst! instead of a blue screen i kept getting red screens and they would just appear every single 1 min with no stopping and then the iphone restarts automatically and it just kept and kept going on non stop! thats when i decided to reset everything from the iphone itself, so i resetted my iphone hoping everything would work fine, but it didn't, same problems! At that time i was ready to just go to the apple store and complain because i need my phone for work and i am basically phoneless i cant even call people because it just crashes within seconds now! like wow apple has messed everything up! So my last try was restoring trough iTunes. It crashed right in the middle of the restore process. Now i have a useless iphone! because it is stuck in the "connect to itunes" part. And every time i want to restore it it crashes in the middle of the process so its impossible to restore the phone! please help! Should i take it to apple? will i get a replacement?

Of course you would. You're totally backed up in the cloud right? Why you would restore through iTunes

I don't know; I've got a iPad2 and best thing ever after ios5 was being untethered from iTunes.

I had to have the Geek Squad at Best do it because I use the pad exclusively and have no laptop.

Go to Apple or them and have their tech geeks try to get it up and running.

New and stupid expensive as your Air,(?) was Apple should be the one at the plate no cost to you.

Sad thing is that these problems are occurring on phones & pads with the newest chips and not just the

I Too, have had this totally FRUSTRATING glitch since installing ios8.0 (and 8.0.2). It "looks like" it's copying correctly, but when I paste, it could be either the previous copy OR one of yesterday's copy. So strange!

I'm on my iPad 2, using Safari. It ****** me off b/c I have to keep going inside the house to my laptop just to be able to paste/send what I need.

WHERE THE HECK is Apple? Not one response to all these posts in over a week?

IM not going through the headache of restoring to factory settings! They need to do ANOTHER bug fix, ASAP, darn it.

oh, also having probs just getting the copy/paste function to stay in place (the little black bars you select). It comes up, then when I want to hit 'copy' the little black bar disappears on me half the time before I can click it. UGH!

iPad2 with 8,0.2. One thing I discovered last night (I'm desperate) is that if I clear off the clipboard with iClear and then copy 3 times, it works most of the time. Seems ridiculous, but any port in a storm . . If anyone has a better work around, please share.

Yeah, I made an appointment for the genius bar. The soonest I could find was for Saturday night. So basically i am stuck without a phone for two days!

My iPhone is useless right now Since it still stuck in the "Connect to iTunes" mode and i can't do a factory restore since every time the iOS 8 is installing from iTunes to the phone, the phone crashes right in the middle of installation. *****! They better get me a brand new iPhone because even if they release the iOS 8.1, it will NOT fix the kind of problem my iPhone is facing right now.

Go to the Apple Store now, you spent a gazillion dollars for that **** thing so have them make it right!

Theres always a couple there that are geek skilled and they can try different options. I'd still bring all your

paperwork plus box and wrappers if you have them so they can replace it if need be.

I regret buying an iPad - the support from Apple is disappointing.

3 Years in for me there's no backing out as I know no other but the last year or two it does indeed feel like we 'loyal' supporters

have been getting the shaft. Between VPN & Wallpaper issues that were never properly addressed and now this C&P issue I'm

major peeved too but with all the product they sell I'd assume someone in corporate is eyeing this and demanding a fix...or maybe not!

The bug seems to be related to Safari (and apps which possibly use some Safari API to provide web content, such as possibly the Facebook app). I tried using just the Dolphin browser when trying to copy/paste links, etc. as suggested by a previous post (assuring that apps relying on some Safari API, including Safari itself are not running) and I have experienced no problems with cutting/copying/pasting. It is only when cutting/copying/pasting from Safari and apps like Facebook (which possibly use some API related to Safari to provide web content) that the bug appears again.
