Nothing fixes the issues...contrary to what many of you here say. All I can speak about is my iPad 2...no other generation iPad or phone. [ ... ] And to keep suggesting the same fixes doesn't help. Doesn't help me anyway. Everyone should take the time to read the whole thread.
The fact of the matter is that these fixes which have been suggested HAVE HELPED many of the users here on this forum and have solved their problems. I have lost count of how many users have come back to me and told me thanks for helping get their iPad 2 back to its original condition in the way it runs.
THEREFORE ... to say that we should NOT HELP OTHERS with these solutions ... just because you haven't been helped is totally derelict and a "whacked" idea!

My poor wife can't run her organization on the road anymore thanks to this issue.
It's one thing if many people are using their iPads for personal use and have a problem issue to deal with ... but it's quite another matter for a BUSINESS to have them, as it does impact "doing business". And therefore, that's why you're going to find businesses dealing with the latest and best hardware along with the best software they can find. That means that she should be running the latest hardware - for "doing business" and should always be running "under warranty" and have a "hot line" to Apple Support at all times. For her, it's important to have the latest hardware and the latest and best functioning software. It's "business" after all!!

Nov 4, 2014 7:31 AM in response to TheHajby arrow7,iOS 8.1.1 was seeded to devs a few hours ago, should fix RAM issues on older devices ... this should positively impact the clipboard issues. A rumor ? NO, a report. And hey Star Traveler, stop being rude at everyone here or I'll personally, as a customer, report YOU to Apple support IS THAT CLEAR ?!?

Nov 4, 2014 7:32 AM in response to Raymond Nby womandi,YOu'd THINK that if this is happening to all of us, that it happens to the Apple Execs too, no? Or do they have Android phones? Lol. This is NO laughing matter! It's been happening to me on both my ipad2 and iphone5 ever since the first iOS 8.0 update. I have updated as far as 8.0.2 but refuse to do anymore updates until I KNOW that the next one works the way it should! And should my devices eventually be outdated due to my refusals to update a new buggy iOS, I'll run right out and get an Android! TRUST ME. And should I ever overhear a discussion about someone wanting to purchase an Apple device, I'll tell them that they'll be sorry (including when I'm standing in line at the phone kiosk in Sam's club closer to Christmastime!) what about all their stockholders? Aren't they furious at Apple too?
INthank the the person who started this thread (I was one of the first on here too - took me a while to find it on Goog, but I did). I'm thankful b/c I get to read about everyone else's hardships BEFORE I try them myself. I've seen NO workarounds, and NO customer service from Apple on this astocity, whatsoever. Hey - if they don't care about me, I don't care about them!
that means they'll be saying goodbye to me paying for yearly storage space in the cloud AND $24.99/yr for iMatch in iTunes. THANKS FOR NOTHING FOR MY MONEY, APPLE! And I'm sick of the slowness and freezing too!

I've not only seen "workarounds" ... I've seen so many users on this forum solve their problems that I've lost count on it. The fact of the matter, regardless of the few on this forum who have some remaining problems ... is that the vast and overwhelming majority of users are not having these problems. That's just the plain facts.
Now, that does not mean that Apple does not work on the few problems that there are, or that Apple ignores people or that the few people who are reporting here their problems ("few" as compared to the vast majority in the installed user base) are "not having problems". It simply means that Apple takes your reports that you submit to them through APPLE SUPPORT and have them analyzed, and Apple works on the solutions for the few that are here in this forum.
BUT, even the few who are reporting problems here ... I've had them come back to me and say they are happy now, that I suggested a solution to them that actually worked and got them back to normal again. THAT is happening here on this forum, too. And this has nothing to do with "Apple ignoring us" ...

Nov 4, 2014 7:43 AM in response to Star Travelerby GASusiQ,Can you direct me to the person or the many persons you allude to who now has/have an iPad 2 working great after following any of your suggested fixes? I have read and re-read so much here I can't remember what helped who. And the only thing 'whacked' on my end is my iPad still. Thanks.

Nov 4, 2014 7:57 AM in response to GASusiQby Star Traveler,I did track some initial people for the solution that I provided, and who got back to me in that they were doing fine ... but I got so many of them, I just didn't find it useful to track them to the present time, but I did get - yet again - another one who thanked me as of yesterday.
SO ... these were some examples that I started tracking ... afterwards. AND ... I didn't even bother tracking the ones who said they had no problem at all, in the transition, of which there were many ... including me, of course!
Here are the ones that I put in my notes ...
Solved issues ...

Nov 4, 2014 8:15 AM in response to Star Travelerby dexipur,Barring all the negativity coming to roost at present I found this on the iPad Forum when the copy/paste problem first surfaced.
Just place "iClear My Clipboard" from the App Store in your dock and leave it there for the duration as we all know by now
that most present fixes are hit and miss at best. I know because I've tried many if not all with no real positive results save for iClear.
Regardless it's a good place to see what you really do have on your clipboard before attempting to paste on.
Not saying it's the perfect fix but at least with it in the dock you'll have it whenever needed.
I'll add this to if I'm allowed.
The majority of the problems users have been having since iOS 8,(actually ios7!) have been cross the board problems
and not just specific to the older iPads. Just checking the web and other forums it's a well known fact sad to say.
Be it the newer faster chips aren't any more free of these glitches than our old feeble ones.
GIven the C/P problem is a major pain it's most certainly not the most pressing issue facing iPad & iPhone users at present
especially under iOS 8 and all its updates.
Fact is I'm loyal to my pad and well appreciate all it can do that and considering I have no laptop or iPhone so I'm totally
dependent on it for everything;(which does bite me in the dukis on occasion!) yet it's a choice I made and have stuck to.
But would I jump ship this late in the game after years with this very same pad and all we've been through together,
that'd be a big no.
Funny thing, even with all this...I still dream of the maybe never but well speculated about iPad 12" Pro; now how silly is that?
My iPad: iPad 2 32k/3G... NOT FOR SALE!

Good for you! ... :-) ... I'm with you on the matter. But, I don't have an iPad 2 but an iPad 4. However, that's going to be "up for sale" soon, as I'm going for the biggest and baddest iPad!!

Nov 4, 2014 8:22 AM in response to Star Travelerby GASusiQ,I'm sorry. Guess I wasn't clear in my request. Are there any on THIS thread...the one that most closely identifies with my issues? And the one I have been commenting on and following???

Nov 4, 2014 8:25 AM in response to Star Travelerby GASusiQ,So you don't have an iPad 2 but seem to be able to fix them? I'm not sure you have an idea about the frustration I feel with my iPad 2 that was working great before IOS 8....since you aren't experiencing the same problems.

Nov 4, 2014 8:27 AM in response to GASusiQby Star Traveler,Don't limit yourself to just one thread. If you do, you're going to miss a lot of other comments, elsewhere, which can bear on your issue. As for me, I don't stick to just one issue or one thread. I just know that the solutions I've provided over a period of time have come back to me with many who are happy. That's what this forum is about ... :-) ...
