I finally got this thing to work!  I have an iPhone 6+ and a 2014 Hyundai Sonata Limited.  I tried most of what everyone was recommending and nothing seemed to work, even including resetting All Settings.

What worked for me is this:

I have 4 iPhones (6+, 5S, 5, and 5C) and they WERE sharing one Apple ID.  The 6+ and 5S were on iOS 8.02 and iOS 8.0 respectively.  The 5 and 5C are still on iOS 7.  I had to create a new Apple ID for my son's 5S and set his phone up as a Family Share on my Apple ID, since my Apple ID is the "Organizer".  Then I had to ensure that the Share My Location settings were correctly setup, which means that the proper device was selected in the "From" box.

Here is how you do that:

Select Settings.

Select Privacy.

Select Location Services.

Select Share My Location.

Select From.

Then make sure that you select the current iPhone that you are using. (In my case it was my iPhone 6+)

Select Back.

Now in the "From" box it should show "This Device". (I did this on both the 5S and 6+.)

What was originally happening when my son's 5S was on my Apple ID, both his 5S and my 6+ were showing on the "From" selection page on both iPhones, and that was causing problems, apparently.

I also have "Handoff" turned off as well, since I don't have any Macs or iPads to use for Handoff.

Here is how you find that setting:

Select Settings.

Select General.

Select Handoff & Suggested Apps.

Turn off or on Handoff. (Mine is off.)

After all of that was done, I deleted my Sonata from my iPhone Bluetooth Settings and deleted the pairing in my Sonata.  I restarted the iPhone 6+, paired it again with my Sonata, made a few test calls, restarted the iPhone, and made another test call.  It finally works!!  I will keep testing it this weekend to ensure that it is a good fix.

I really can't explain why this worked for me, but I believe there are software glitches with the new iOS 8 Location Sharing and Handoff features, especially when the devices share the same Apple ID.

Might be an easy fix for you, but there are a lot of people besides me (reading the forums) that have this problem and the above procedures DON'T correct it.  Very hard to understand as my IP6 will pair with one of our cars, but not the other.

Had the same issue with 3 of my Mercedes cars. "Reset all settings" from the reset menu twice back to back fixed the issue for me after updating to 8.0.2.

This thread is going to get bigger and bigger until Apple corrects this bug.  I've tried most if not all the so-called fixes here without success.  I'm torn between trying one more time or just waiting for Apple to fix it with an update (8.03, 8.04, 8.05 or whatever fixes it).

When I go into Bluetooth on my phone I see a list of my devices that include...

Range Rover (my other vehicle that did pair)

iPad (which I've never used AFAIK with my iPhone)

If I click on the circle button after "Not Connected", I get a greyed out "forget this device".  I'm wondering if I move to a location away from either of these 2 devices, I can then FORGET them, then do a "Erase all content and setting" and do a "Reset network settings" and THEN, successfully pair this phone my daily driver ('13 Mini Cooper).

Apparently erasing all content... and resetting network...has no effect on automatically having to re-pairing my Range Rover since it pops up again by itself along with the iPad also pairing again even though I don't remember ever pairing the iPad with my previous iphone 5S or with my new 6.

Blue Tooth Problem connecting with 2014 Cadillac CTS the CUE system.   Will not connect with the Bluetooth for phone.   Sometimes it is intermittent and will work for a very short period, and sometimes it will not connect at all.  On the phone with AppleCare for well over an hour, with no answer in sight To this problem.  Never had any problems with other Apple iPhones 5 & 5s in connecting to this car.  Very disappointed need Bluetooth in the car and is considering moving to android. Help Apple!

the way I did it exactly is :

reset network setting on iphone6

Delete iphone from the car in two different menues.

1st menu is the Audio-BT setting

2nd menu is Telephone/ BT remove phones.

than I turned off the car, turned it back on.

paire with the audio blue tooth first, than paired with the (Lexus) telephone menu .

it did ask me 'another bluetooth device is connected, shall i disconnect? ' when trying to pair as a phone.

I Selected yes and it connected to the the phone.

WELL, I finally paired my IP6 with my '13 Mini Cooper.  I thought I followed the instructions to the "T" via my Mini Manual. Bluetooth Pairing

1.

On your Mini, go into Telephone.

2.

Add New Phone. This will put your Mini’s Bluetooth into Pairing mode.

3.

On your phone, be sure Bluetooth is enabled, and find your Mini. It will be listed with the name on your Mini’s screen.

4.

Once your phone connects, it will ask for a pairing code.  On your Mini, create a quick four-digit code (e.g., 0000).  Then enter that code on your phone.

5.

Once connected/paired, the Mini will ask for what features to use. By default, it will check Audio and Telephone if your phone supports those features.

What was fouling me up was the step where it says to enter a quick 4 digit code in the Mini display.  That pops up a screen on the IP6 to enter the same code.  I've tested it and at least for making/receiving calls, it works fine.  This procedure is different that any I've seen so far. On my other vehicle (a Range Rover), I think it generated the 4 digit code automatically which I then entered into the IP6.

hey guys, I couldnt get my Bose bluetooth headset to work.

I followed the below suggestion/instruction and it works fine now.

So give this a go..

1- Settings/General/Reset/Reset All Settings

2- Phone rebooted. Then removed anything in under bluetooth devices with clicking the "i" and forget device

I started facing this issue only after i updated my iOS to 8.02. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

Apple this is beyond a joke.  No fix works for me and for many.

I Still have the same issue after upgrading to IOS8.02, multiple deletes and reconnections. Only way the car picks up the audio from a call instigated from the handset is if I have the headset cable plugged into the car. However doing that means incoming calls wont get picked up by car. Without the cable a called made from the phone can be manually diverted to cars audio but only once it has been answered, by selecting the car as the audio on the phone screen. It frustrates the heck out of my wife and I havent heard the end of it since doing the upgrade.

Many problems also with BMW bluetooth connect system!!! With my old iphone 5 (ios8)  no problems... But with I6 , lot of problems...

I am having similar problems with Bluetooth, my iPhone 6 and my Infinity. While it will download my contacts, it will not connect to the car's audio system. I am unable to "forget this device" in settings. I believe that contributes to the problem. I updated to iOS 8.0.2 and that does not help the situation. I hope Apple is reading these posts.
