Q: iPhone 6 not connecting to car Bluetooth

So I got my iPhone 6 yesterday, and while all seems well, I can't get it to connect to my car's Bluetooth system.   My older 5S running iOS8 does fine, so I don't think is the OS... And, frankly, this is an after market bluetooth set up in my 2006 Murano, but all other phones can connect, just not the iPhone 6.

There is no manual for the car's system, but I've managed to get it to "search", and while the car does find my phone, there is no way to enter a code on the phone to get it to pair properly.  And the phone NEVER sees the BT module in the car to do the pairing.

Again, this is NOT a iOS 8 problem... but one with the new iPhone 6

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), Pro-Tools 11 HDX

Thanks to you, I will try it soon. And let you know if it's working.

In the mean time, my car is a Mitsubishi, not hands.....

I solved the problem in this way:

    - in Iphone menu go to Settings/General/Handoff - disable then go to General/Accesibility/Car audio routing - select bluetooth headset.

    Hope this will help.

Just got a new iPhone 6S. Worked perfectly with my Porsche PCM. Today, would only show a tiny fraction of the Phone directory. Tried deleting the phone, reinstalling. no luck.

Then tried the advice to go to Phone, select General > Reset > Reset all

    The Reset Network settings.

Worked perfectly. A bummer having to establish blue tooth, fingerprint etc.

Thanks.  That's what I needed to do.  I had re-set my phone and that probably screwed up the connection I had before.  Keeping BT off on the phone and selecting No to pair I was able to see the System Clear option.  If anyone else has a honda, do a google search for: "Honda CR-V How To Delete Bluetooth Phone".   I believe the same instructions will work with other models.

I have an ACURA MDX '16 and I did the same thing.  It worked for a while but now it's not connected.  I have been without phone connection for almost a week.  I guess I'll have to 'reboot' the Acura's system every couple of weeks.  Apple or Acura should get together and fix this problem.  It's not only with newer cars, I know someone with Hondas and Acuras that are at least 8 years old that are having the same issues, where they didn't have them until Apple iPhone 6s.  Looks like Apple should fix this issue!!!

So now the iPhone 6S with software version 9.3.2 is the problem. It was paired with my Audi A3 for six months, but with this latest update will not hold the pairing. After about 30 seconds, my Audi tells me network error and to "connect cellphone" ... Audi has checked out electrical system and all checks out okay. Returned to Verizon store and they replaced my iPhone 6s with a new phone. Did the whole reboot, did two system resets and still will not pair. Odd thing is that the phone works fine in an A4 and in a Ford Escape. Also, my Apple 5S and my husband's Apple 6 work fine in the Audi A3. So is the problem the car? or is the problem the phone? The rep at the Verizon store told me to get a new car. Helpful.  Not.  Apple does not seem to be responding to this issue ... is there any update on the problem that I'm not aware of. Talking hands free safely should not be this difficult. I am ready to move off of Apple and to another platform.

When the iOS changes it can alter the "signature" of the B/T connection

Forget the connection at BOTH end of the link and try re-pairing that means Audi end and iPhone

Finally got to Apple Genius bar -- issue was fixed with a total hard reset. Means that I have to rebuild some apps, but worth it to have bluetooth back in the car!!!  Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
