ok - let's look at the warranty a bit closer as there seems to be a lot of 'thoughts' being bandied about and little facts to back any of it up.
No warranty is going to allow a 'rollback' of any kind. It's farcical. It's time people move on from that thinking. You have avenues to address any 'faults' such as repair, replace or refund. That's it guys. So all this talk of going back, ain't going to happen. That horse is dead, it's time to put the whip away. Build a bridge and get over it.
Let's focus on what people can do, including fixes and redress (and by all means show what is specific to your country). We've seen all the 'fixes', if that doesn't work for you, what can you do? What does Apple state about warranty? We know Apple hardware has 12 months warranty (or more by default depending on your country), but what about software? Apple here state that for all software, refer to the Software License Agreement.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
This Limited Warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for Apple that can be identified by the "Apple" trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Apple hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with Apple hardware. Non-Apple manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers may provide their own warranties. Software distributed by Apple under the Apple brand name (including, but not limited to system software) is not covered under this Limited Warranty. Refer to the Apple Software License Agreement for more information.
Here is the extract from the Software Licence Agreement:

7.3 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE iOS SOFTWARE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, AND APPLE AND APPLE'S LICENSORS (COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS "APPLE" FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTIONS 7 AND 8) HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE iOS SOFTWARE AND SERVICES, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND/OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS.
Apple here seems to be completely washing it's hands of any responsibility for it's software. Interesting eh? But how true is it? Remember, some laws, like Australian law, essentially override what a manufacture warranty states. So is this true? Can Apple wash its hands of any responsibility for iOS - like it's telling people?
No. I do not think so. At least where I'm from. And Apple have a habit of misleading people. Perhaps you too?
Apple Australia has been reprimanded by the competition watchdog for misleading customers around their rights to refunds or repairs for products.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) investigated Apple’s behaviour around consumer rights and found it had made a number of false and deceptive representations to some customers about whether they were entitled to a refund, replacement or repair.
It found Apple had told the customers it did not need to provide any recompense, despite such remedies being covered by consumer guarantees in Australian Consumer Law. The products ranged from iPods to iMacs, peripherals, iTunes and App Store software, and non-Apple products such as headphones and printers.

Also, this little extract: http://www.lawhandbook.org.au/handbook/ch12s02s02.php
The meaning of “goods” is defined very broadly in the Act. Importantly, “goods” expressly includes “second-hand goods” and “computer software”. An outline of the guarantees that apply under the ACL are outlined below.
So again - the rule here (and I'm not giving anyone legal advice), is that if you take what Apple tells you to be 'gospel' - you're gonna have a bad time. You have rights, express them. If you're really not happy - get a refund and go to another platform. For me, it's worth making some noise, as I have a lot of investment in Apple hardware and software, but I too have a choice to switch - which we're considering.
So please (insert your name here if relevant), either post some factual information that either helps resolves these issues for users (via fix or redress), or just don't post. Honestly, it's like a kindergarten in here.
