Camera stopped working after ios8 upgrade

I updated to iOS8 on my iPod Touch 5th gen, and now the camera is not working. I just get a black screen.

Also if I use any other App that uses the camera such as Instagram, the camera does not working.

Did a reset, still just a black screen.

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Other users have reported yur same symptom out of the blue so I it would seem to be a hardware problem if restoring to factory settings/new iPod does not resolve the problem

If you successfully restored (went through all steps without error) to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..
