Where did you get the movies from, the iTunes store? If you ripped them yourself, you might have not ripped them into the right format. Though ripping DVD's is illegal 🙂
Same with me. I know I ripped it to the right forma, mp4, but it says it's not played by my iPod... Any help? It took me a few hours to get this movie. And the software cost a pretty penny. Help me please
If iTunes wont add it to the library or put it on the iPod-IT IS NOT IN THE RIGHT FORMAT, regardless if it is an MP4 or not.
The software you paid for(why would you pay for a transcoder with so many free ones available?) is not working correctly or you have not properly configured it.
I suggest you go to the support site of whatever software you used to convert and get help from them.
First you need the new itunes 7 and the ipod 1.2 sofware, if you dont have this downloaded yet you can't get your videos on itunes. Unless you have bought these videos before hand and they were on your itunes alredy.
I am having the same problem, except I KNOW that the movies are in the right format because they were on my iPod 30GB before and I watched the movies on my iPod regularly. Even the movie trailers I downloaded from the Apple Quicktime site won't transfer. The problem occurred since updating iTunes to iTunes 7, updating my iPod, and upgrading to Tiger. Now when I try and open the videos in iTunes, they won't play. What gives? Do I have to re-import all of those videos again? That's ridiculous!
I am having the same problem. I purchased "Pirates..." through itunes. It's sitting in my library, but won't download into my Ipod (30GB). The music updates fine, but the movie doesn't go anywhere. It will play on my computer, but I need it in my Ipod. I've done 4 of the 5 R's (I'm avoiding the last one if at all possible). Any suggestions? Thanks.
