There are so called Extensions wich you can download via https://extensions.apple.com/ or via Safari->Safari Extensions.
There you find an Extension called AdBlock. It should help you getting rid of all the Popups. But it also removes Advertisement on most websites such as Facebook. If you want to see Ads you would have to manually allow Ads on these websites.¨

1. If adware is installed without your knowledge,
download free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once scanning and removing the adware is done, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar
and selecting “Quit AdwareMedic”.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and try Safari.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
Press “Remove all website data” button.
