Macbook Leopard (Black) Battery Issue

I just bought a battery for my Black Macbook (Leopard) and after one cycle, the battery isn't charging. The wattage of my A/C charger is fine because I bought a new one maybe a year ago from the Apple store according to my computer. The orange light of the A/C charger goes on, but the bottom lights of the notebook don't blink. Help!

I can prove that I just bought this battery with a purchase confirmation. I'm in Thailand (Not Bangkok) for the next few months, so I can't just go to an Apple store any time I want.

Any input would be helpful.
