is it possible to downgrade ios 8 to ios 7

Hello,

Finally Apple release major OS release iOS 8, everybody interested to upgrade their apple device, so i am also one them, I am using ipad mini (16g). Many forms tells that you need 5G free space on your storage, my ipad has only 16g and has many apps, contact, messages, photos & videos. also most 5 to 9G. if i backup those stuffs to PC or icloud before upgrade and after upgrade iOS 8 and restore those stuffs back to my ipad almost storage became full.

1. Is there a way to install iOS custom option (install only necessary apps)?

2. is there a way to upgrade ipad mini in built storage to higher (16g to more G). ?

3. is there a way to downgrade from iOS 8 to 7 ?

4. what is the upgrade compatibility matrix ?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

I bought a 4S not so long ago, but with this battery drainage issue my battery hardly lasts for the whole day without having to plug in. I dont have that many apps installed, or active, since the phone is recent.

Its just the new IOS that doesnt work well and drains the battery 5 times faster. It's really bad.

Please post in this thread if in the future you decide to provide assistance to present 4S users.

Cheers,

Filipe

I am trying to downgrade to iOS7, I have an iPhone 4s, and can only update it when my bloody contract expires , then only I can get a new iPhone, that is capable of running iOS 8 properly... iOS8 is hogging the screen, that the photo app does not work properly , and the phone is lagging also I have less space for my photos... the 4s only has 8 GB memory... with the apps and iOS, i only have 1.5 GB Free !! *... I am trying to downgrade to get that extra storage space, and iOS7 never lagged on the thing.... My phone contract only expires in the middle of next year before i can get a new iPhone, I am going on holiday, need to take photos.. but with a crummy amount of storage, and the third party photo + app does not work properly with all the enlarged screen elements..... I NEED TO DOWNGRADE...

One thing I learned about having an apple device, is to keep the factory version on it , to retain its performance. With Mac , you can downgrade if you not getting the performance needed in the upgrade limited to hardware. With the iPhone/iPad... looks like one is stuffed if they mindlessly accepted the upgrade... There needs to be an option especially for older phones like with 4s , since the focus was on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 in its development, iPhone 4s is forgotten because its phased out, does not help when people are stuck on contracts.... and have to wait for it to expire just to upgrade. There should be a fix , just to keep it usable until I can get a new iPhone when the contract expires... I agree iOS 6 had a better GUI design... i personally cringe with flattyness.
