It sounds like you are seeing a variety of hardware issues with your new iPhone 6 even after resetting it by holding down the power and Home buttons, and restoring from a backup. That can be pretty frustrating when you get a new piece of hardware. I would next backup your phone to iTunes one more time and restore it, but this time as a new device and NOT from the back up to test the headphone jack, reciever and microphones. This will help isolate the issue to either the backup file that is being used, or the hardware on the phone:

This is probably a silly question, but are you sure you've pushed the plug all the way in? My iPhone 6 takes a little more effort to push the earphone plug into the jack, but once all the way in (so the doingle is flush to the phone body), all works OK.

It seems I am having the same issue as the guy above. I reset my phone as a new device and it turns out the headphone jack worked well. I again tried to restore from my last back up (phone was iphone 4s IOS7) and the headphones again stopped working.

Now it seems the problem is with the backup file, but how do i fix the back up file. It has all my notes, contacts, photos, apps... I kind of need that more than headphones jack... But it would be nice to have both.

Had the same problem.

One day headphones were fine, next day nothing.

Manually Backed Up my phone in iTunes, then Restored iPhone as a new device.

Headphones working fine again.

Went back into iTunes, did a Restore Backup (to the backup I had done earlier), and everything is working again.

A relatively easy fix, but unacceptable nonetheless.

Apple quality is plummeting, fast.

I'm having a problem where earpiece and microphone are not working at all.. Just bought it few days ago.. Is it possible to get 1 to 1 exchange with new phone..
