Sep 23, 2014 8:59 AM in response to James Barberby wpalmerj,★Helpfulsorry no solution here, just jumping in to say I'm having the same issue on the 6. I hope there is a solution as this is pretty confusing.

Sep 23, 2014 12:04 PM in response to James Barberby Kandids by Kelli,Yep same problem with both my iPhone and iPad running iOS8! Does it look like this?
Also I have a sync problem now with Schedulicity. I have to turnoff/reboot the phone to get appointments to sync.
The entry in the darker blue is one I made which syncs and doesn't display the GMT Time just fine. I'm ONLY having problems with
the subscribed calendars.

Sep 24, 2014 8:29 AM in response to Kandids by Kelliby richb16,I also have a similar problem, I run 3 calendars which are all fine, however I updated my Gmail calendar which uses ICAL (other two use ActiveSync as Exchange & Outlook.com) and after changing the time it now shows an hour before the actual start time. If i open the appointment it shows me two times in the description, 6pm start to 11pm and 7pm to 12am, the 7pm to 12am is the correct time however the calendar shows it on my iPhone and iPad as 6pm (GMT). Any one else having problems?

Sep 24, 2014 8:42 AM in response to richb16by richb16,★HelpfulAdd some notes to this, I have managed to correct the issue by going to Settings, 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and changing the Time Zone Override to London which makes me think the phone thinks the iCal GMail calendar is set to the incorrect time zone (i.e. showing it in your time zone) however having checked the settings my personal calendar is fine. This should work fine until I travel abroad when i have to manually change the time zone override.
This is work in progress, I have gone into my Google calendar and checked the time settings and although set to GMT+00:00 London, I have ticked the display all zones box and changed it to GMT+00:00 GMT (No Daylight Saving) and turned off the above override on the phone and again this has resolved the problem. What I am unsure of is if this will work ok once the clocks change next month! I'll put a note in my calendar to test it.... hmm

Sep 25, 2014 1:46 PM in response to James Barberby Ryan Bartels,★HelpfulYep, mine too. Only on my phone though. On iCal it's fine. The Time Zone Override didn't do anything on my end. The only thing that worked is to switch to LIST mode instead of a traditional calendar block view and it appears correctly with Begin and End times. If I click the view toggle back to calendar block, it's all GMT. It's a bug that will have to be addressed obviously. Until then, I'm viewing it in list mode...

Sep 26, 2014 9:37 PM in response to James Barberby HofstraJet,Here's how I fixed mine: I noticed that Time Zone Override was set to on with London set as location (unsure how this happened). Apparently, I set up my Exchange account while this feature was on. I turned the feature off, deleted my Exchange account from the phone, and then re-added the account back to the phone with the Time Zone Override feature off. Everything synced and is back to normal. I would expect the same behavior with Gmail or any other provider. Good luck!

Sep 28, 2014 8:24 PM in response to James Barberby brandonfromplymouth,Ever since iOS 8 was released all events created in any of my 5 i-devices default to CDT for the time zone, despite the phone being set to EST. Time zone support is not enabled; however, enabling it and setting timezone to EST does not solve the problem. When display events in grid mode, they display 1 hour off. When displaying in list mode, the times are accurate to EST. Only events created on the I-Device are affected. Events created directly in Outlook or OWA display the correct times. This huge bug needs to be corrected!

Sep 28, 2014 8:52 PM in response to James Barberby pogster,Hey James, basic trouble shooting steps are Restart then Reset. Often glitches can be cleared by simply doing the first two. Have you tried restarting your phone? Have you tried doing a Reset? You won't lose any data doing either one but it's always a good idea to make a backup first before trying anything. Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If those two steps don't solve the problem the next step is to restore the phone's OS by where the process erases everything from your phone and brings it back to a factory new condition with the latest iOS version installed. Your data can be recovered from the backup. Don't forget to turn off Find My Phone before doing this.

Sep 28, 2014 10:04 PM in response to pogsterby brandonfromplymouth,Neither of these options will work as I can confirm the problem exists in iOS 8 on both brand new and old devices, not just those that upgraded to 8. Two brand new iPhone 6's that were set up as new phones, both having the same issue with time zones!

Sep 29, 2014 9:41 AM in response to brandonfromplymouthby bradaparsons,Has anyone contacted Apple about this issue? This is a pretty big issue for corporations and/or schools that use Outlook/Exchange services. iOS 8 has been doomed with errors so far.

Sep 30, 2014 11:39 AM in response to James Barberby Josh N.,I am experiencing this issue for a VIP. Here are some observations:
- Turning off the time zone override, removing the calendar and re-adding the calendar did not work for me.
- I am able to reproduce this issue on multiple devices
- Putting my calendar on his device does not cause the issue
- Putting his calendar on an iOS 7 device does not display the issue
- He uses Microsoft entourage to retrieve his mail from Office365, which is no longer support.
- The calendar entries show in the right "slot" on the day view
- If you open the entry, the correct time is displayed within the entry.

Oct 2, 2014 4:52 PM in response to Josh N.by cnscns,I am seeing this since IOS 8.
What I have determined is:
1. I create an event on my IOS8 device in a Google Calendar. My phone is set to PDT, Time Zone Override Off, and I create the event using the PDT times.
2. On the IOS device, in the list display it shows at the correct time PDT
3. Selecting the event shows both the PDT times, then below that the GMT times in a separate line.
4. Editing the event shows ONLY the GMT times (This is the big problem! The PDT times do NOT display when editing the event)
5. On Google Calendar online, in the graphic display it shows in PDT. Selecting the event detail also shows only in PDT
6. Editing the event in Google Calendar online shows PDT in the edit fields, but a surrounding box showing GMT:
7. On iCal, the event shows in PDT, with no appearances of GMT in either graphic, detail, or edit modes. In iCal preferences, "Turn on timezone support" is unchecked.
Love to hear any ideas on how to eliminate the spurious appearance of GMT!
