iphone 6: siri and voice text not working.

I have the same problem. Since updated it, there are times when the iPhone is locked, and I have to reboot to get it working again.
The problem is when I have several applications open in the background, but that before the upgrade did not happen.

I've got the same problem. Siri doesn't recognize voice, neither does the Messages app - I can't speak into speaker and have text rendered. That same functionality works great for Google Maps to speak an address. No problems in that app. And I can record voice memos just fine. I've reset all settings, and all other suggestions from this forum and others. Is there a permanent fix out there somewhere?

i too facing same problem on my iphone6, i can operate siri by using headphones but i cant when i remove headphones so help me on this.

As a follow-up to my own post, I took my iPhone 6 to the local Apple store and the tech said that replacing the display screen would fix the problem and cost me $109. When I questioned why the display was the fix he said the mic is connected through it. Being the skeptic that I am, I refused to pay $109 for a 'potential' fix and decided to live with the problem until I could replace the phone in February at a discounted price.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed iOS 10 and voila, Siri is working again. I'm taking my wife out for a nice dinner tonight with the $109 I saved. 😁

I have the same problem with my iPhone 6. Unfortunately I can't find any way to fix it. However if you plug in your ear buds or head phones and use Siri I am sure it will work again. Mine works when I do this.

Siri has her own vulume control. While using Siri press volume up and that should help

This happening to my iPhone 7 and I am not always using a Bluetooth device.

Turnings the volume up had no fix for the problem.

When on Siri, hold down the up volume button. Apparently Siri has her own volume control
